this was a lovely ask to get because i’m flying to ireland today and i’m very anxious! so dwelling on five things that make me happy is a good plan

1. when i walk out my front door in bare feet and feel the warm wood under me and the sun on my shoulders and someone has just cut the grass on their lawn and it’s a beautifully hot day

2. smashing my body into the corner of the couch in the sunroom with my laptop balanced precariously on the armrest as i scroll mindlessly

3. when my dad comes home in the evenings and i’m still up, and we get to talk about our days and tell each other what we’ve been up to

4. when my brother texts me out of the blue or i text him

5. a good book. anywhere, anytime.
