“Please, I just need something to get through the night. My siblings need me”, Izzy pleaded when she saw you. You knew what was going on, could feel the yin fen in her system. But giving her your blood would only keep her downfall and that was something you couldn’t let happen. For that you cared too much about the Shadowhunter in front of you.

“I’m not gonna bite you, Izzy”, you said. “But I will help you.”

You hadn’t wanted them to know but it had only took one look from your siblings and they had known, even without you starting to cry again. Now Izzy made you tea and tried to cheer you up but you still asked yourself what you had done wrong. Why did he break up with you, out of nowhere?

“I knew he wasn’t serious!”, Jace growled. “We should talk to him”, Alec suggested and you jumped. “That wouldn’t change anything”, you gave back and Alec nodded. “It will change something. Depending on what he says, I will only hurt him a little bit or break his noise.” Jace seemed to agree with his parabatai and Izzy giggled next to you, so even you had to smile. Maybe this jerk had broken your heart but at least you had your siblings who would always have your back.

“What is wrong, (y/n)?”, Izzy asked the second you walked into her room. “I had a fight with Alec”, you said, not wanting to explain more. “It was bad and he is really angry with me, Iz.”

Your older sister looked caring at you. “He loves you, (y/n). Maybe he is angry now, but he will forgive you. We are family.”

When you had offered Izzy to take a night off, she had agreed in seconds. You wanted to show her something mundane, so you took her to a karaoke bar.

While explaining to her how it worked, she smiled at you. “I can’t sing in front of everyone!”, she gave back and laughed. “Yes, you can and you will. Don’t worry. Nobody cares if it’s good or bad.”

With a sign she gave in and went onto the little stage, all eyes already following her. When she started to sing, everybody fell silent. It was like a real sexy angel was between them, at least everybody looked at her like that.

Coming back over to you with a big smile on her face, you only shook your head laughingly. “You lied to me!” “I didn’t, (y/n). I never said I couldn’t sing.”

You reacted out of instinct. While your brain was screaming in agony about that... thing attacking the black haired girl in front of you, your body moved by itself. Seemed the martial art training, you had done as a kid, was still useful. At least until you hit the monster with the bowl, you had automatically grabbed. 

The Problem was that the thing wasn’t losing consciousness or something like that. It just growled, while turning to you, clearly his new target. You hadn’t thought that far...

Holding up your weapon you tried to look strong which wasn’t as easy as you had wished. Thankfully the monster never reached you as it burned to ashes in front of you. The other girl standing behind it, a whip in her hand.

A whip?

“Who are you?”, she asked, being more confused about you instead of the living nightmare that just vanished to dust. “What the hell is going on here? What was that?”

For a second the girl just looked more confused but then she sighed. “Is there a nest of you somewhere around?”

You were an embarrassment to your parents... at least that’s what they thought. Since you were a child, you were clumsy and mostly useless. That’s why you never were out on a mission. You normally got the back information for the other Shadowhunters and coordinated the hunts but that was it. When it came to fighting you just didn’t had it in you. Your father still wanted you to train, to work on it and to try. So you were in the trainingroom again, not really meaning to even try, when you heard a giggle. You turned your head seeing Isabelle. One of the fiercest and most beautiful Shadowhunters you had ever seen. That you had a huge crush on her wasn’t actually helping. If your parents would know about that, they would... you honestly had no clue what they would do.

“I know I’m useless and look funny while doing this,” you commented a little bit frustrated about the whole situation. But Izzy just smiled, without taking her eyes off you. “I don’t think you look funny. Rather... cute.”

You didn’t know what to answer to that, while your heart started bouncing faster. So all you did was pushing the bag again without looking away from Isabelle, seeing that it made her smile.

The whole day Izzy was behaving differenty than normal and you finally found a moment to ask her what the hell was wrong with her.

She tried to avoid your question and you were almost sure she wouldn’t talk to you, when she finally answered. “You’re always with Lydia!” “What?”, you asked confused. “Lydia is my best friend since childhood. I came here because of her. You know that, Izzy!” For a moment she almost seemed angry, but then something else was in her eyes. Only a spark, before she looked down, but you had clearly seen it.

“Wait... are you... are you jealous of Lydia?” Izzy didn’t say anything. She only looked back at you and the way she did was the the only confirmation you needed. She was jealous. “Lydia and I are friends. She’s like my sister but nothing more. Never.” You smiled at her. “Not like you.”
