Happy Birthday, J!
Happy birthday Jane/James Corvin!!! I got a gift for them from my MCs:
thinking about doing the JR route with poppy as like an au thing and the mental image of that is ultra funny to me
like its pretty much this
A Corvin: MC's friend is so goofy, I can't believe I'm gonna make out with them
J Corvin: ...you don't have to?
A, already walking off: No, I'm gonna
Currently can't sleep and I'm feeling myself getting back to Vampire the Masquerade again (though I am on the fence about getting VtMB2), so my mind decided to think about which clan the main cast of Fernweh would belong to. (Do note that it was a while ago since I engaged with VtM so I may get some details wrong. I will only focus on R, S, B and J)
R feels like such an obvious Ventrue. Do I really need to explain? Clan of Kings, bluebloods... The people they tend to embrace are those of power, and with their disciplines being more inclined to persuasion and commanding, it feels very fitting. *cough* R being white is another reason *cough*
S is another one who feels obvious to me. With their artistic hobbies and interests, they seem like they could easily belong to Toreador, though I find Tremere to be another likely candidate. Not only are they artistic, they also show interest in stuff like the supernatural, chapter 4 and 12 being examples of it. If I remember right, S also tends to fall into mage/wizard in asks, so that's another point in favor of Tremere. I think both are likely for S, so I guess it is more of a question on who finds them first...
Though it would be fun to have a more 'proper' clan for B (who I at first was considering Nosferatu for), thinblood feels surprisingly fitting for them. (Sorry to thinbloods, but I forgot they existed before I decided to go back and rewrite B's section) So, with how B has been received in Fernweh, it makes sense for them to be a thinblood, a 'clan' that is largely hated, though I doubt that B is a 'sign' that the apocalypse is drawing near... right? With their struggle to fit in, with no one but each other, it made sense to me that this was the most fitting for them.
Lastly we have J! Whether it is by choice or not, they seem to fall more into a lone wolf type of character, which is why Gangrel is one of the clans that popped into my mind at first. Avoiding the cities and keeping to themself, this clan could make sense for J. With how J grew up on a farm, they already have some experience of living off the land.
noriko hugging james when she's feeling particularly bad and she loves him so much but the gentle hug is not enough right now and like. her breath is hitching and her eyes are burning and her fingers twist in the back of his shirt until her nails are digging into bundles of pressed white fabric and she just
"james."
"...yes?"
"more. please."
the tightness is slow coming but soon he's curled around her with his face buried in her shoulder and his fingers digging into the back of her jacket and this is what she's been missing for like well over a decade now
she can breathe now that her heart has a framework to help hold it together
Favourite James & Celestine moments in The Fernweh Saga Book One: James being protective ♡
