i know i KEEP talking about Himiko Kikuchi but my fuckin god. i need to write up a master review of all of her studio albums at some point because 1) i really cant get over how incredible she and her band were and 2) the world needs to know about her (especially since afaik she never signed contracts outside of japan and her music is therefore not available on all the big streaming services)

in the mean time go listen to her third studio album, All Right (1982), which is one of my favorites and also the one that made me buy a melodica (bc of The Polestar) (alongside Boardwalk from Toshifumi Hinata's Sarah's Crime album which is also a banger of a recent discovery)
