needed to keep track of ages and birthdays for my most recent fic and while i could take the time to do math and look up alfred's age, that simply is not necessary and in my version of canon, he just can't die

Anyway yall I've decided to rewatch supernatural and can I just say that no-one makes shows like (early seasons) this anymore? Particularly with regard to the music direction. Holy shit. Some of my favourite, bone-chilling music moments so far on this rewatch have been:
Renegade - the scene where you think Dean & Sam have been caught, you just hear the vocals, then the pause and silence - "We are so screwed" - and the drop kicks in?? Hell fucking YEAH
Dead or Alive - Dean trying his hardest to keep his last 24 hours on earth light for Sam's sake and singing along with his little brother at the top of their lungs, and then the slow fade-out as the FEAR takes over, and the music drowns out Sam, still singing, oblivious in this moment to his brother's burden
Stay tuned for more because there will be more and I will have lots to say about it
