“Hm…” She’s always asking this question when he makes a toast or anything else. He’s not sure there’s any reason for this, it was just on the whim. The cooler days made him feel homey and the urge to stay inside more in his veins. He’d ask her to come over quite a bit now—forgoing the quest to venture outside and make their meetings something of public. There’s only so many operettas that he wanted to visit in the theater district. They’ve been to all the restaurants that screamed of high dining experience. Anything further than the realms of Midgar was such a hassle to plan. 

“Just because,” he simply states, placing the dish on the breakfast counter. It jiggled with his movements and he procured two polished silver spoons from the side drawer. “I know what you are thinking,” he starts, giving her a narrowing of his eyes. “This is not normal.” The mold was bright, almost too bright for a man who dreamed in monochrome. “But to be totally predictable is boring, right?” He pointed one of the spoons in her direction.
