I love American and Japanese wrestling and there a lot of parallels to that and the idol industry. Wrestlers/idols being pushed just because of favoritism even if their popularity doesn't match, the rookies and underdogs with potential being stifled by the old guard, shocking twists, etc. But what I love about both is even if it's all smoke and mirrors, the drama and rivalries (on stage, not behind the scenes) can be entertaining. Except H!P isn't giving that lately. It's so boring.
