J04 - Sing me a song
Name: Shani
Age: 20
Sign: Aquarius
Affiliation: Currently none.
Biography:
Long ago, humans and monsters were fighting each other. It was a bloody war and both sides suffered losses in general. The monsters, however, came out victorious. With this victory, they became owners, humans became their slaves.
Monsters, despite of their new position of power, had a strict code for the handling of their slaves. Some people would even say that the outcome of the war made the world way more peaceful than has ever been.
All the slaves belong to the Kingdom, but they are assigned to a citizen since birth. There's movements in order to free the humans, but most citizens are against it. Getting romantically involved with your slave is taboo, but happens quite often. Humans are connected by a magical bracelet with their masters, when they have one. Monsters are allowed to have several humans linked to them, especially when they're of noble birth. Once the master dies, the human can't belong to anyone else, unless the King himself approves of it. It is very rare, however, for a monster to die before their human, as their lives is way longer.
But that's exactly what happened to Shani.
Her Master, a famous monster scientist, died while working in one of his inventions. Now she's a stray, going from place to place. Maybe, just maybe, if some other monster take a liking on her she might have a new home?
Headcanons:
- Shani is a rare mage-type of human. She can perform healing magic by producing music. She usually plays a flute or sings to make this happen. The more harmonious her music is, the most powerful the healing will be.
- She wasn't around when her Master died, so she blames herself for his death. He always treated her with respect and patience and was the closest image of a father she ever had.
- For reproduction, humans are matched by their masters, usually taking in consideration the social rank, health and natural abilities. Pro-human rights monsters allow their slaves to choose their partners.
- For Shani's singing voice I am using this girl, her live action version is Matsui Jurina, (as most of my muses. Lol)
If life is a movie, then you're the best part.. 🎧🎤 #J04-1
