Like I get that everyone has a voice and a right to a voice but there are so many people opening their mouths with a mere skim-of-the-surface understanding of what they're talking about; hence bastardizations of leftist ideology stemming from said ignorance such as the "vanilla privilege" fiasco of a couple of years ago

I’m not entirely sure what this “vanilla privilege” fiasco is [I was kinda mia a couple of years ago so maybe it was around that time], but I agree with the rest.

People read a few lines of literature or a few articles summarizing what political theorists/revolutionaries said, which is then further stripped down and decontextualized and used to promote some nonsensical BS that simply doesn’t fly in the “real world”

Everyone certainly has a right to a voice, but that by no means implies that what is said is to be given any meaning/needs to be entertained

I would suggest that you reblog entire discussions rather than simply segments where it appears your agenda has the upper hand. That's not an awfully good way of cataloguing, mod peridot (how professional).

If this is about about reblogging pieces on Down With Hate, then the reason our “agenda” has the upper hand is because it’s the morally sound one.
