Jaaga is a place where like minded people come together and create something productive along with adopting healthy lifestyle and sustainable living.
Jaaga community runs a study domain under which there is Web development bootcamp which I am currently attending. The bootcamp will operate till Dec 16.
Check here to know more about the previous bootcamps.
Schedule and the way of life at Jaaga:
Yoga and Meditation is given utmost importance here at Jaaga as the community believes in the ideology that in order to work efficiently, our mind and body should be balanced and also in synchronization which can be best achieved through Yoga and pranayama , so first thing that we do in the morning is yoga and then everybody starts their assigned task, The study session is till 5 pm and then recreation activities time. According to the assigned tasks' workload, people work in the night as well.
We live in an Organic Farm just outside Bangalore city, away from the chaos of the cosmopolitan city life and build innovative things using technology.
Week 1(02/10/2017 to 08/10/2017)
The first week was just about knowing the fellow boot-campers and understanding the learning path for an individual and as well as the importance of working with everyone.
The best part of coming to far away place from your hometown is that you get know people from different culture and feel that within the country, such diversity exists and we do not realize it until we scout these types of experience.
The week started with most of the volunteering work and less of academic work as we had to setup our own study area and also the gaming area, slowly we got to know the boot campers. I would not write any incident here right now, I would just like to introduce my fellow mates here at the bootcamp.
Adarsh Lilha: The cool computer hardware and coding enthusiast guy, always fun to be around and as we match the equation in terms of ideology of cracking lame jokes in Hindi, hope to have some great memories in coming week.
Md Abu Zafar : The guy who chose to stick to his ambition of becoming a software developer even after the hurdles that came in his way. The way he described his situation shows that irrespective of the circumstances, one should not loose the hope and keep moving. He is called by the name : "Zafar Supari". I hope he owns the "mota market (:P)" after the end of the bootcamp.
Lavanya : A coding enthusiast and a great sketch artist, give us some fees for teaching you some hindi and my gyaan too (:P). I would write more about you at the end of the bootcamp.
Chetan : Science enthusiast with lot of curiosity in exploring the aerospace engineering, great design sense, you should go to some creative technical field man !!
Vipin Sahab : A happy go lucky kind of guy and very practical person , have an engineering mind and hope to learn pragmatic things better from him during the bootcamp.
At jaaga, everybody contributes to make the surrounding better and environment friendly, so all the people are assigned volunteering task every week where they help clean the farm and position some of the instruments of the farm.
In just 4 weeks, I learnt that when we are in our comfort zone, we do not recognize small things which makes a big difference in our life, we take things for granted and after coming here at Jaaga, I feel we should stop becoming dependent on others for anything, we have a tendency to be dependent about everything on others, even our happiness depends on others' opinions about us, stop thinking much about what others will say and start living a healthy, joyous , productive life.
I will update more about the life here at Hamsah Organic farm(Jaaga's workspace), till then, keep rocking and remain awesome :)
