i see your mitski pink in the night divorced zukka getting back together but what about mitski a pearl zukka before they break up because they just can’t pretend that it’s all alright and that they can be okay when there’s so much to say and not enough time and their relationship feels like it was built off of a war even thought i wasn’t but they just don’t know how to keep going and and and yeah
a pearl zukka!!! so true i love pain!!! and i also think that one of the tipping points that causes them to break up is definitely like…the fact that they still have so much trauma and stuff to deal with and it doesn’t help that sokka bottles everything up while zuko refuses to get help and yes this causes miscommunication (sorry sorry sorry) and strains the relationship like sorry i can’t take your touch it’s not that i don’t want you.
also i do believe they would begin their relationship when sokka is in the fire nation for ambassador business (he’s only there for a few years while he learns the ropes of politics don’t worry i 💔 ambassador turned fire consort sokka) and it’s like sokka loves zuko and he knows zuko didn’t single-handedly cause the war and hurt all those people himself but he can’t love the fire nation. and thinking about spending the rest of his life there scares him (and also the miscommunication. zuko thinks sokka might not trust him but nooooo he just hates the fn. they both do but still). and basically they are both still traumatized kids that need to deal with their own issues and that’s why the relationship ends at that moment
