Hello everybody! It’s the time of year where we get Zukka Week up and running again for its latest edition. We’re especially excited about this year’s Zukka Week, because the release of Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender means that we have new canon material for the first time in years! And as a result, there’s been a huge uptick in Zukka fanart, fanfiction, and fans in general. We’re very pleased to welcome everybody who will be participating in Zukka Week for the first time.

Zukka Week 2026 will be held from November 23 to November 29.

Prompt submissions are open until Sunday August 9th. Everyone can submit up to 3 prompts. Once submissions are closed, we will open a voting period so that everyone can vote on their favourite prompts. You may submit your prompts at the link below:

“If you want me to go watch the fireworks with you, I’ll go,” Zuko offers. They’ve sat through a few of these displays over the years, but for some reason, Zuko didn’t feel like seeing them tonight. He would do it with Sokka, though, if he asked.

“Maybe later. I think we got all we need right here,” Sokka says, turning from the sky to meet his eyes. Zuko looks back and doesn’t know how to read the expression on Sokka’s face. He swallows.

“The stars and the moon.”

“The stars and the moon,” Sokka echoes quietly, but neither of them are looking at the sky. “You know, I think the sun is beautiful, too.”

“Well, you can’t just stare at the sun. You have to be careful, it could burn you,” Zuko says.

“Then I’ll be careful,” Sokka whispers.

the collective amnesia over sokka actually being pretty grumpy and serious all the time in the show is actually crazy ? why am i seeing people act like he was just some guy who was there to make jokes and keep everyone smiling meanwhile he was running that group like the navy like he used to have schedules planned and he was the only one who ever gaf about food and resources or tried to get a job to feed them 😭 like man you're thinking about AANG 😭
