He felt that shiver run down his spine, knew it could only be one being that spoke to him, and his hand gripped into a fist out of instinct, even as he swallowed, his eyes instantly going to the brunette. She looked different, but he could tell; he knew; it was her. 

“Thank you?” he hissed, eyes narrowing. “Why would I thank you for anything?"

Headcanon: He likes long bubble baths.

((Aahh! He actually loves water and bathing! Just never with warm or hot water! So I’d say you’ve got the right idea -u- He’d probably be fascinated by bubble bath the first time he saw it but may prefer clean water.

He likes to cool down in freezing water, it’s a relief to him and helps him think. I imagine him enjoying rain, waterfalls and the friggin’ arctic ocean. Probably has favorite spots where he’ll lounge under the water for however long without bothering to breathe. Though he tends to get chronically depressed whenever he can think clearly.

My dumb depressed devil, sometimes it’s easier to just be a psychopath. Too busy being crazy to care. u_u ))

Laughter, echoing inside his head, no one around to be seen or sensed before a feminine voice would coo, "Look at all these broken pieces. You pooooooor thing..."

A jump to rigidity and a clasp to his head, “Ssssssssss…nnnhhnn…I…should…haah talk to…someone.” He stands, talking aloud to make a weak attempt at pushing what he perceived as one of the many screaming, clamoring voices in his head, “Tryphosa, mmmhmm, good for banter. Should pay her a visit. Aahahaa….aah, hhh nn.”

"Your majesty..." the voice was heard long before the purple feline drifted down into view, as if laying so comfortably on an unseen hammock. "And how did the reunion go?"

"Don’t talk to me," Cora said bitterly, staring pointedly away from what she was sure were the mocking eyes of the Cat. The "reunion" had been an abject failure on every level- she had captured the Hatter, charged him with his task of getting the portal to work, but Regina had escaped. Despite her new prisoner, she considered that an unacceptable failure.

Next time she wouldn’t make the same mistake of trusting her incompetent guards- if there was a next time. For now, she had killed them. Failure was not tolerated. But there was no satisfaction in it, no filling the emptiness in her chest. Regina had escaped, had left her behind once again, and there was no way to fill that void.
