have you seen chris fleming's new standup chris fleming: live at the palace? most cartoonish human to exist they made me think of you

i have not! i am aware of them from their Wildly Unlikeable Guy song and general memes but i didn't know they were releasing a special. the trailer certainly lives up to your hype. and do i spot that much like my other cartoon blorbo james acaster they have a routine about how stressful it is to lead a conga? :P

very pleased that when somebody encounters a cartoonish human being their response is now to anonymously inbox me about being reminded of me :3

james acaster: gets perennially furious at people at the airport baggage carousel all crowding in together and getting in each other's way when everything would go much smoother if they all just stayed sedately back; writes it into a show as an example of a situation where he's recognised that the other people will never change and the only sane route forward is for him to focus on reacting less furiously to it

reece shearsmith: gets perennially furious at people at the theatre being noisy and disruptive and inconsiderate; writes it into a show as a scene where his character murders them all in a bloody revenge fantasy

hey i can't explain it but you have such a strong association with those sour rainbow belts in my mind. i really don't know why. they're the most fecklescoded sweet in all of history. this is a positive thing. thank you and goodbye.

you mean... the kind that james acaster brought in as his prize task for "boldest belt"? ʘ‿ʘ [insert clip or gif or something that i can't find off top of head] [he got 1 point XD] i think we might have cracked it, nonny! ;)

also i mean. they're luridly brightly coloured and childish. they are at least named after an item of fussy formalwear. i could probably make them into a pair of braces and they wouldn't look out of place in my wardrobe XD

i also don't hugely like the taste of them, which is frankly perfectly on brand X'D

For fic author Never Have I Ever: have you ever written a fic that changed your opinion of a character?

ooooohhhh what a great question!! i'm not sure i really have, because 1) my fics tend towards the short side, so there's not enough space for the characters to start running off in unexpected directions and 2) if i decide to write a particular fic it's usually because i have an Agenda about how the characters would behave in it XD

butttt maybe this counts: there is one kinkfic that i wrote, about davies/horne/acaster behaving about how you'd expect them to (horne is a tricksy fuck, acaster blunders right into it, davies metes out punishment), where i was in two minds about which direction to take it - whether to make greg Angry and Scolding and Fearsome, or whether to make him just find the whole thing hilarious and deliver the punishment as an additional cruel mischief...

i chose the former, but often i think back on it and wish i'd chosen the latter, because greg so frequently gets painted as Angry and Scolding and Fearsome, but honestly i think he's much softer and cheekier AND particularly a lot more fun-loving than that, and i should have let him enjoy himself a bit more (and be a bit more three-dimensional)!! playful teasing doms ftw :P

(i'd be intrigued to hear your answer btw - i suspect you'd have a richer perspective - so consider yourself inboxed if you would like :D)
