Jack: You’re not my wife, because you chose to marry Alfred. I begged you not to, but Richard needed the money, and that is all that you care about, isn’t it? Richard’s precious title. Well that was your naive promise Aliena, not mine. Face the facts. Shiring is a dream, you will never win it back, just as you will never be a princess again. Only the merchant mistress of a common laborer...

The Pillars of the Earth (2010)
Is it so wrong to want a love like Jack and Aliena? One that both parties are willing to fight and die for.. to sacrifice everything. Being separated only to find each other once again and find their love never died.
I just finished watching (more like marathon-ing) The Pillars of the Earth today. Now, I'm feeling empty and I just want to forget everything so I can watch it again. Plus, the love story of Aliena and Jack gave me feels and their kisses and their tears and hugs and eye sex and actual sex brought out the fangirl I didn't know was in me. i'm just so so so so happy they ended up happily and together forever. The acting of the cast was off the charts and Ian McShane wow I hated your character but you were awesome. And Tom Builderrrrr and Ellen. Ugh such flawless people. And fuck you, William and Alfred. I literally said a lot of fuck yous everytime either the two of you were onscreen. PS. ladies and gents, this is how i make reviews. i suck at it i know. it tends to be fangirly. haha.
