June 1st - Jack Chain

A latent Inhuman whose powers were manifested following exposure to the Terrigen Cloud.  Jack gained the ability to channel fire-based energies through a series of long chains that he kept on his person.   Jack can use these chains as a weapon, swinging them about like a whip, or as a means of keeping prisoners securely bound.  

Jack was recruited by Lash shortly after his transformation and he accompanied the Inhuman despot to the hidden sanctuary of Orollan.  Later, Jack joined up with an ambitious fellow recruit named Hollow, who sought out to abduct new Inhumans as a means of appeasing their master, Lash.  Although Lash ultimately killed Hollow for this trespass, Jack Chain and the rest of the Hollow’s followers were allowed to return home to Orollan.

Later, Lash selected Jack to participate in a gruesome scheme to weaponize Black Bolt’s blood into a new Terrigen Bomb to create new Inhumans. To this end, Jack helped abduct Black Bolt’s young alien ward, Blinky.  The trauma of being abducted and seeing Black Bolt about to be killed by Lash caused the psychic remnant of The Jailer to take full control of Blinky’s mind.  Blinky’s ability to create tangible psychic illusions enabled The Jailer to retake his monstrous forms and one of his first acts was to feed off of the Inhumans around him.  Jack was the Jailer’s first victim and he was killed when the Jailer consumed the entirety of his life energy.
