“Don’t Forget Me” Trailer Features Musicians Remembering Eddie Cochran
- Film to screen June 26 in London
“There ain’t no punk rock without Eddie Cochran,” Yungblud says as “Summertime Blues” plays in the background and the words, “Every revolution has an origin” appear on the screen.
This is the trailer for “Don’t Forget Me,” a film about Eddie Cochran that hybridizes the interviews of a documentary with the script of a biopic; Jack Harris plays the titular character, likely to the chagrin of Keith Richards.
“We all wanted to be Eddie,” the Rolling Stones guitarist says with uncharacteristic clarity, particularly compared with the gobbledygook Roger Daltrey mumbled immediately beforehand.
Featuring commentary from Sting, Rod Stewart, Alice Cooper, Billy Idol and others, the film will screen June 26 at London’s Raindance Film Festival.
Cochran died at 21 in a 1960 car accident.
“(A) ridiculously young age to produce such magic” Ronnie Wood says.
