@weepedwords sent MEDIC: for one muse to show up at the other’s doorstep injured.—for jack showing up at will’s blacksmith shop perhaps??
Captain Jack Sparrow has no shortage of enemies. To simple commoners, to other pirates, to the guards themselves. One way or another, Jack always ends up in some mishap. Usually he is able to talk, con, or fight his way out of it but certainly not this time.
Each step hurts, pain shooting out from the bleeding wound in his abdomen, seeming to spread throughout the entirety of the rest of his body, making him hiss in pain with each step taken. It’s a struggle but there’s only one place in mind. One person he knows that would help him and as much as Jack hates to admit he needs help, he knows for a fact that he does. If he does not, he may very well.
One hand is firmly pressed against the wound as he moves through the streets, the blood seeping out and staining fingers. There are people who gasp in shock but most people stay out of his way.
By the time he gets to Will’s blacksmith shop, he’s nearly ready to pass out from exhaustion alone. His vision is a little blurry and a bout of dizziness hits him, the blood loss finally affecting him now that he’s leaned up against an open door for support.
He blinks a couple of times to clear his vision before his eyes land on a familiar face and the relief washes over him in waves. “Oi, mate. Wouldn’t happen to want to help an old friend, would ye?” It’s almost difficult to talk, it’s an effort, but he manages to do so before clenching his teeth together as each breath hurts him. His hand obscures how bad the wound is but anyone could tell it’s bad.
