i hate when some hindu households use religion as an excuse to discriminate women based on their clothes or people in general's sexuality because in hinduism women's bodies are literally seen as sacred and divine, it never tells them to cover up anywhere. And in the scriptures there have been many religious figures with different sexual identities. literally the only rules are to not eat beef, be nice to cows, and not be evil. some of these parents who shame their kids for the way they express themselves in the name of religion are really the ones who aren't following hinduism's values themselves, not their children. Hinduism is a beautiful religion with wonderful non-restrictive values, society needs to stop making it out to be like that.
