I read the article that became ‘Night of the Grizzlies’ and it was very informative, but the book has more detail about the previous events leading up to the attack including the bear that killed Michele Koons harassing a girl scout camp and two 14-year-old boys in an aggressive manner and reading it you have to think to yourselves, how far up their own asses about ‘grizzlies being harmless’ were the rangers that went ‘yeah we’ll get to it soon’ and then didn’t do shit??? Like, the bear is showing no fear of humans. It’s not acting like a bear should. It’s being aggressive, it’s stealing food from camps and then tearing up the tents and clothes and other equipment. It’s stalking hikers for fucks’ sake. It tried to smash through the door of a cabin, and slashed the screen door on a different cabin. There are dozens of verbal complaints, and even more written ones. There have been two newspaper articles by a Pulitzer-Prize-winning journalist about this bear. AND NO ONE FUCKING DID ANYTHING.

It’s passion that drives someone to success, it’s passion that makes someone do the things they do, it’s passion that keeps them coming back for more. It’s a tricky thing to define, especially considering how personal someon...

"When you’re on a racetrack you can only think about one thing, you’re completely lost in a simple task that you repeat every minute and 26 seconds, there is such a relief to surrendering yourself to such a specific task." – Jack Olsen
