full name jack quiet is my OG cowboy oc made for an rdr universe rp :-) he was born into a gang that fell apart when he was a kid and then in his late teens got kind of press-ganged into bounty hunting so as not to get hanged by the law, did that for some years and then when Circumstances Changed he tried to retire to look after his little sister, lived with her on a shitty homestead for a few years only for a wounded wanted criminal to break into their house one night. jack thinks he’s gonna turn this guy in for the $$$ but accidentally falls in love with him instead :-) although where we’re currently at in the story he doesn’t know he’s gay or indeed that being gay is a thing people can do (they have accidentally sleep-cuddled once or twice and there has been One hug. in 150k+ words lol. it’s a slow slow burn).

he’s a sulky angsty guilt-ridden little bastard who likes horses and not a whole lot else, acts like a neurotic rescue dog that hasn’t been properly socialised most of the time. hates men, extremely polite to women. someone split his face open when he was a kid which turned a streak of his hair/eyebrow/eyelashes white from the shock + he wears a wee gay earring + has freckles. those are about his only notable features he’s otherwise a pretty plain looking feller. usually keeps his hair in a stubby ponytail tied w/ string. here’s my most recent doodle of Him:

-born into/raised by some kind of cult who tried to sacrifice her to a [??]

-rescued by a witcher who was contracted to kill said monster

-insisted on tagging along all the way back to cat school & submitted to the mutation process willingly (enthusiastically even)

-took to it SUPER well. perhaps worryingly well

-once on the path very rarely went back to cat school hq even before the whole drama

-makes more of a living just randomly showing up and trying to sell monster parts than taking actual contracts

-similar backstory to his original setting, his dad tried to off him, he survived, took his baby sister & ran until he couldn’t run anymore

-divergence somewhere in there— he blacks out from hunger or blood loss or both & wakes up on the back of a horse, wakes up again in kaer morhen

-hasn’t seen his sister since; searches for her constantly while on the path

-very hard-line about his self-imposed code of ethics; will go hungry rather than take a contract he disapproves of

-accidentally received a court jester through the law of surprise who now won’t leave him alone <3
