The Big Fight (Part 1)
Pairing: Bonnie Gold x Y/N Warning: blood, language, a little bit of episode re-write Summary: You were the youngest of the Shelby siblings and just recently got introduced to the business you brother has been doing since well, you could remember. You family allied with the Gold family, another gypsy tribe, that not many people liked, but you definitely had crush on Bonnie, but never made a move.
"Come on Y/N we're going to be late!" Your Aunt Polly yelled up the stairs to you. As you finished powdering your face, and squirted just a bit of perfume oil you, you stood from your chair, adjusted your dress. You and your family were stuck back in small heath after the Changretta family had come to England, to hunt your entire family down, but Tommy said we'd all be after together in Small Heath.
"I'm coming!" You yelled down to her, grabbing your purse before walking out of the door. It was the day for Bonnie Gold's fight, the fighter that came along with the alliance with Abraham Gold and his tribe. The moment you saw Bonnie, you had an instant crush on him. But, you knew you brothers would never let anything happen between the two of you.
"WOAH!" Lizzie said looking at you in the gold, sparkly dress that you had bought the day before for this event. Hopefully to catch Bonnie's attention.
"Aw, thanks Lizzie. It's not much." You said reaching the lower level.
"Does the gold have to do with Bonnie GOLD?" Ada, you older sister, said linking arms with you and began walking out of the house and to the car.
"Maybe." You said with a giggle and got into the car.
"She wants a fuck, Ada. Even if it's from a gypsy boy." Polly said from the front seat.
"POL!" You yelled at her and everyone laughed around you.
Arriving at the building the boxing match would be held in about 20 minutes later. One of the Peaky boys opened the door and helped you out. Walking passed the other Peaky boys who stood at the back door as body guards. Going in and into the the locker room where Tommy speaking to Abraham Gold and Bonnie Gold before the show started.
"Alright, well good luck Bonnie, we will be rooting for you. Do good." Thomas said then looking your way.
"Sorry Tom, girls and I just got here. Was just coming to wish Bonnie good luck before he went out." You said as you started to walk away.
"No, no, It's okay Y/N come. We were just finishing up." You brother said to you and you turned back around.
"Remember, not too long, not short." Tommy said before crossing the room passed you and out.
"I'll see you out there champ." Abraham said to his son before turning and bowing his hat to you and leaving.
"Hey Bonnie." You said walking to him.
"Hey Y/N, thanks for coming back here." He said taking off his shirt, and began wrapping his hands to be put into the gloves. Not being able to take your eyes off his muscular but scrawny body.
"Oh, it's not problem. Just wanted to wish you good luck out there tonight." You told him. Seeing him struggle a bit with wrapping his hands you put your purse down and took the wrap from his hand and began doing it for him.
"Oh, you don't have to. I'm a bit dirty, I don't want you getting that pretty dress all dirty." He said looking you up and down.
"Sweet, I've done this plenty of times, don't worry about me." You told him with a smile.
"Thank you." He said as he rested his other hand on his hip.
"Feeling nervous at all?" You asked as you cut the end of the wrap and tucking the ned piece in.
"No, I cant remember the last time I was nervous before a fight." He scoffed. You grabbed his other hand in yours and began wrapping that one.
"Beautiful dress by the way." He said stepping backhand taking the whole view in.
"Thank you. Had it made just for this night." You said as you rounded the end of the wrap and tucked it in again.
"Why gold?" He asked. You laughed just a bit and grabbed his gloves to push them on to his hands.
"Because you're Bonnie Gold." You said getting close to his ear then pecking a kiss to his lips. Thinking it was only going to be a peck, he pulled you back in to deepen the kiss.
"I'll see you out there champ." You said as you pulled away with a smile and turned to leave.
"Will I see your after?!" He yelled out.
"You're Bonnie Gold you can have whatever you'd like if you fight for it." You said turning to him and giving him a wink before walking out. You made your way down the hall and into the loud room that had the ring in the middle. Finding the rest of the girls sat on the opposite side you went to sit next to them.
"Where were you?" Ada asked.
"With Bonnie. Wanted to wish him good luck before his fight." You said with a grin before taking a drag of your cigarette.
"Ohhhh! Well hopefully it was good." She said practically yelling over the loud men around you.
"Ada, we didn't fuck." You said with a giggle.
"Mhm, sure." She said laughing along with you. Bonnie coming out after about 5 minutes walking passed you and the girls giving you a wink and after getting a pep talk from his father jumping unto the ring. Hitting gloves with Goliath, the fighter from Camden Town that Alfie brought here. You saw Arthur sat across form you on the other side of the ring sniffing cocaine from the back of his hand. You rolled your eyes and sat back in your seat.
"Come on Bonnie!" You yelled as Goliath got in him in the corner, but quickly got out of it. Seeing Tommy appear on the other side and sat next to Arthur. The round ending and Bonnie going to his corner to sit and talk to his father. They spoke Romani to each other, which you could understand because you grew u speaking it. Was Bonnie said he'd take it to the fourth round, you knew how this whole fight would go already because well, you knew it was a fixed fight. Bonnie could knock anything on its ass if he anted too. Bonnie turned to you with a smile, and his mouth guard in his mouth, before the next fight round began. He stood from his seat and they went back to it. Knowing this fight would be a long one you got up to go find the rest of the girls with Ada. Going to the bathroom you saw Polly, and Lizzie in there.
"Poll, this fight is fixed, isn't it?" Ada asked walking in. In you head you knew it was.
"Poor Gypsy boy's getting battered out there." She said before setting her bag down on the counter. You walk dot the mirror beside Lizzie grabbing the bottle of gin before leaning against it.
"Yeah, well we've all seen what the gypsy boy can do." You said before taking a swig.
"She's saying that because she wants to fuck him." Polly said still looking down into her pure.
"Just because I want to fuck hi, doesn't man what I'm saying isn't the truth." You said taking a swig on the gin.
"I knew it!" Polly said turning. You rolled your eyes and set the bottle back down.
" Anyways, you said you had some news?" Ada asked as she sat up on the counter.
"Lizzie has some news." Pol said turning to Ada with wide eyes.
"Polly." Lizzie said turned to look at Polly in a way that said she didn't want anyone to know her news.
"Well teller her. Now! While the men are screaming for blood." Polly said with a bit of annoyance in her voice.
"Have a swig, you too, your going to need it." Polly said to Ada and you. Confused you grabbed the bottle and opened it and you it to your mouth.
"I'm up the duff." Lizzie let out and you slightly choking but kept the gin in tour mouth.
"And it's Tommy's." She turned to say. Now the gin leaving your mouth.
"I'm sorry." You said as you wiped your face.
"How far gone are you?" Ada asked as she scoffed at what Lizzie said.
"If I were going to London I'd be in Coventry." She explained.
"And are you carrying on past Coventry?" Ada asked.
" All the way to fucking Piccadilly Circus." She spoke with analogy's that she was carrying the baby all the ay and not getting rid of it.
"You found out whether she's having a boy or a girl, Poll?" You asked.
"No." She quickly said back.
"Go on then." Ada said. Polly taking a sip of the gin then walking to Lizzie and grabbing her right breast. You laughed out a bit waiting for Polly's answer.
"It's a girl." She said setting the bottle down. You smiled, because there hasn't been a girl born in awhile.
"Call her Ruby. Ruby Shelby. She'll be a star in a Hollywood movie." Everyone smiled and engulfed Lizzie in a hug. The door opened behind you, and everyone looked over.
"Hey Linda." Polly said see her walk through the door.
"Welcome to the extraordinary general meeting of the Shelby Ladies club." Poll said as you all stood in a line and let out laughs.
"Is there spit on my back?" Linda asked turning to look in the mirror.
"There were men out there spitting. Its fucking disgusting." She said with a disgusted look win her face and taking her fur off to set it on the counter.
"No, there's no spit in your back." Poll said walking tot he other side again. You turned to the mirror and fix our hair, and make up. You thought about Bonnie, and how it was be to be underneath him. Oh, what a dream it would be for you. In a carriage that's ran by horse, not an engine like a true Gypsy.
"Well since your here, and your almost family. Lizzie's got some news." Polly said as Lind went to sniff cocaine into her nose which was weird seeing from the good two shoes.
"I'm pregnant." Lizzie said holding her head high and looking into the mirror in front of her.
"Oh? And who's the father, have you managed to narrow it down?" Linda asked, slightly annoying you.
" Yes, it's Tommy's." Lizzie told her with not so much happiness in her voice.
"Congratulations. You've won the raffle at last." Linda said with a laugh.
"Yeah. She's a real Shelby lady now, Linda. Just like you." Polly said wiping some of the cocaine off her nose.
"Right, ladies, let's rejoin our gentleman." Polly said you grabbed your fur and walked to Linda.
"And remember Linda, if they spit, just spit back." You said with a smile as you walked away and out the door. Walking back to your seat, you saw Bonnie pretty bloody now. Causing you to worry a bit.
"Abraham!" You yelled over to his father. His father walking to you still keeping an eye on Bonnie.
"is he okay?" You asked.
"I sure hope so." He said still looking at Bonnie. The bell sounded and Abraham went over to the corner. As they talked you saw darkness come over Bonnie's eyes. It beeing the forth round you knew he was geared up more than ever now. You got up and ran over to where he sat.
"You got this Bonnie. I'll be waiting once you beat this guy." You said with a smile to him and running back to your seat. You made eye contact with Tommy across the ring. He gave you a look of what the hell was going on. You rolled your eyes at him and went back as the match started.
"Come on Bonnie!" All the girls yelled as he ran around the ring. One of the men that was on Goliaths side you saw Arthur get up to follow. You looked at Tommy with an expression asking what's going on. He just rolled his eyes and went back to the fight. You sat back and watch the fight ignoring whatever was going on over there. Goliat getting a few good hit on Bonnie, and Bonnie falling to the ground.
"Bonnie!" You yelled along side his father who look at him in the ring. You looked at Abraham for confirmation he was okay. Abraham turning to you with a smile of confirmation. Taking a deep breathe you went back and watched the fight. You saw Tommy stand as the other man from Goliath's side left and followed him. You didn't know what was happening but you kind of knew it wasn't good. But, you had tasty out of it and let your brothers handle it. Bonnie now pushed up against the roped in front of you, you watched as he put on a show for everyone and ket his opponent fumble him.
"Where are Tommy and Arthur?" Polly leaned over to ask you.
"I don't know. I saw them walk towards the locker room, but I'm not sure." You yelled over the me to her. Bonnie now had Goliath up against the ropes you stood.
"Come on Bonnie!" You yelled. Polly stood to walk towards the locker rooms. Very confused as to what was going on now, you were sure they'd come back and tell you so you kept where you sat and just cheered on Bonnie as he was finishing the fight and knocking Goliath on his back. You stood and cheered as Bonnie stood on the ropes motioning you to get up there. You smiled as you ran over to the ring and stood on your tip toes. Bonnie came over and took his mouth guard out, his face bloodied, but still look your face to his and kissed him. You smiled as his dad pulled him to lift him up in celebration. You sat back in your seat and just watched as they celebrated, and you did along side the rest. But all of a sudden you saw Tommy talking to Lizzie, who's face just dropped. You began walking to Tommy.
"What happened?" You asked.
"Arthur." Was all he said. Looking at him confused.
"He's dead." He finished his sentence. Sadness just over coming your body and falling into the open seat next to you. You began to cry as all the men cheered around you. Tommy pushed through the crowd and jumped into the ring holding his gun in the air and letting two shots out.
"Close the doors!" He yelled as everyone ducked.
"No one fucking leaves!" He said lowering his gun to point around the room. Letting another 3 shots ring out into the ceiling.
"My brother is dead. YOU HEAR ME!!" He screamed out scanning the room while pointing his gun.
"MY BROTHER IS DEAD!" He yelled out dropping his hand and pacing around the ring and then settled int he middle leaning down and covering his eyes. You saw bonnie drop down from the ring and engulf you into his side in comfort. Charlie got into the ring to disarm Tommy. He fought back but eventually gave in and hung onto Charlie.
