Produce would never become a real career path for Jack—he was busy enough as it was, thank you very much—but on occasion his garden would have a really good season and he'd end up with more vegetables than he knew what to do with. Back in Burlington, he'd dealt with the surplus by opening a small stall at the local farmer's market. It would probably be a good idea to do that here too, he just hadn't had time to get the permits and he was a little reluctant to run it without help. The best next idea had been to reach out to local businesses and see if they'd take any of it, then donate the rest. Not having expected much in the way of a response, he was pleasantly surprised by the chef at La Galleria agreeing to check out what he had.
"Where do you want this?" The large box was heavy as he hauled it through the door, trying and failing not to get in the way of the other deliveries that had just show up. He'd never been in a professional kitchen before, which was probably a good thing. It was much to hectic for his taste.
