Jackable Sill Conversion
Due to failing it's MOT for rotten sills, this Disco needed a fair bit of welding to make it structurally sound. I have detailed below what has been done to the sills, including before, during and after photos of the work.
Cut our old inner and outer sills, leaving and inch to weld to.
Pre-fit box, mark and cut excess off (approx half and inch) from bottom of pillars.
Cap wither end of box with 3mm plate. Material used: 100mm x 60mm x 1400mm 3mm walled box, slash cut at back end with a 30 degree angle.
Re-fit box and fully seam weld.
Spray with under-seal.
