Over the coarse of the year they each meet other freshmen , like sebek, epel, jack and ortho, who after their respective dorms went up in 'flames' end up also becoming master thieves by accident.

“Jack this is Y/N,” Jack’s sweet mother softly spoke. “Y/N this is Jack.” She pushed both of you closer and smiled softly. You had an irritated face. You looked at your mom with a face that read Get me out of here. Your mom whispered “Be nice, smile!”. “Easy for you to say” you thought. “The only reason I’m here is because you’re friends. Jack sunk looking 2 times smaller than he was. You sighed, “Okay let’s go,”. You grabbed Jack’s hand and dragged him to the yard’s small playground.

“So Jack,” you started. “Do you want to be friends me or is your mom forcing you like mine”. Silence. Nothing came out. He kept fidgeting and looking around nervously. It was annoying but you couldn’t fault him. Meeting a new person isn’t easy, especially not for him, it seems. You kept trying to get him to speak but nothing seem to work. You sighed once again. “Ok,” you thought. “Maybe he’s very shy to a strange amount.”

“Umm”, you began. “Do you ever talk or is it just me.” He nodded his head to the right. “Just me?” He shook his head. “Okay so you’re just shy,” you told him. He nodded and looked at the slide. You took the as sign that he wanted to go to the slide. You dragged him once more to the slide. You climbed up the wrong way. Jack looked at you confused. He climbed up the correct way. Like an attempt to show you what you were doing was wrong. You laughed and shouted, “Jack! Help me! Help me Jack!” We’re try to get up and reach Jack and continued to laugh. Jack was confused and tried to help you up. But then you intentionally fell down the slide.

“What was that for!?” Jack yelled. “You can speak?” you asked. “Of course I can I just…” he started speaking softly. “Don’t like to.” “Is new people cause that understandable.” you replied. “Yeah” Jack looked away. “Don’t worry about it,” you waved your hand back and forth. Jack smiled. “Y/N!” your mom called. “Time to go!” “Oh ok bye Jack,” you waved bye at him. “See your tomorrow.” Jack slowly waved with a smile plastered on his face.

After that you two were inseparable and went everything together.

As the years went by you starting falling for Jack with each passing day learning more about him each passing day. Unfortunately even when you made it painfully obvious that you like him, he wouldn’t realize. After a while you gave up trying to tell him so you tried to ignore it. Later you and Jack applied for NRC and fortunately both got in. Jack stayed by you each day at school. That was before he met R/N. Suddenly Jack was with R/N every step. Of course Jack begin Jack never abandoned you he just would hung out with R/N more often than he did with you.

“Jack what do you mean?” you asked him though the phone. I wanted to take R/N out for dinner.” Jack replied. It’s just what you thought. Jack liked R/N. “Jack do you like her.” you asked. “Yeah I-I do really do.” Jack said shyly. “She’s nice, beautiful, everything you could want in a lover.” You were on the verge of crying, screaming even. But you couldn’t yell at Jack it wasn’t his fault. Just because you liked him doesn’t mean he has to like you back. You bit your lip. “Alright she sounds nice,” you hanged up.

You cried and cried for hours. You laid in bed trying to calm down. You got up from the bed and look at yourself and how big of a mess you looked. You took a deep breath. “This is Jack’s choice,” you told yourself. “R/N is nice and perfect for Jack.” You spent the next few days hanging out Ace, Deuce, and Epel. When Jack came around you did the mature thing and hanged out with him. You didn’t talk much to him. You then saw Jack and R/N kissing, holding hands, all that lovey doves things couple did. The things you wanted with Jack.

You looked at Jack with tears threatening to burst. Jack didn’t notice you and we happy about that. You ran to the garden. You realized movies may never be accurate but one thing they go right was the childhood friend never wins.

A/N: Sorry i’ve been gone for like a year and a few months I think. The time I’ve been away was rough and so I didn’t have motivation to write. Anyway this story is quick and I think my writing has gotten better. Also I’m thinking of my writing page like a tea shop like @teashopwritingzz she’s a huge inspiration even if she’s not writing anymore her writings are still amazing. What do you think?
