One of Jackie’s favorite activities is watching Wheel of Fortune while curled up on the couch with PJ. In fact, she usually saves the episodes for when PJ gets home.

A number of organizations have tried infiltrating Teyo’s operation, but no double agent has ever succeeded, thanks to Frankie. The SIA considered sending someone to try, but Jackie warned PJ that it would fail.
The Lost
Jacob Grant
Jacob is the father of Jackie and Shai and had he known about the latter, he would have absolutely been involved in his life. He loved his daughter and wife with everything he had. He’d be proud of both of his children, though admittedly worried about them as well. They’re both disasters and maybe it runs in the family because before he met Jackie’s mom, he was one too. Magic runs in his family and somewhere in the boxes Jackie has stored away, the ones she’s never been emotionally able to go through, are a bunch of spellbooks that hopefully find their way to Shai’s hands. Gods know the boy needs them.

The Unexpected
Shai Travis Grant-Holt
After her mother’s passing, Jackie’s father went out with a few different women, though none of them lasted. He couldn’t exactly picture raising his daughter with any of them or telling them ‘hey, I’m a witch and my kid’s a psychic’, so they were mostly just one night stands or hookups. So when Amelia Holt realized she was pregnant, she didn’t call him. She didn’t think it would matter.
It did. Shai inherited the magic, a witch with no teacher. A witch with a mom who previously hadn’t believed in magic. It was a mess, but she never blamed her son. She loved him, tried to be supportive. Tried to reach out to his father, only to learn he had died. Shai was only twelve at the time. The upside was that they learned about Jackie, but she was 18 and she had already enlisted in the military. They didn’t get in touch in time.
He’s 21 now and searching for his sister. His magic’s kind of a mess, but he’s gotten the gist of it. He’s hoping she can help fill in the rest, but he knows so little about her. He has no idea that her magic followed her mother, not her father, and that she’s more psychic than witch. He has no idea that PJ is protecting her and that that will make finding her so much harder than it needs to be. All Shai knows is that he has a sister and he wants to meet her one day.

PJ has Jackie’s dog tags from their time in the military together. Jackie didn’t want them so she gave them to her friend. PJ doesn’t wear them, but only because of the work she currently does. Wearing them could potentially endanger Jackie. She also doesn’t keep them in her office for that reason, but she has a small box of personal belongings in her room at their place and the dog tags are in there, along with her own set.
She did wear them for a time before she took the job at the SIA.
PJ doesn’t tell Jackie about work, but she has a lot of knowledge about the SIA. She might know more about certain aspects than PJ does? Not because she’s done any research. Jackie just knows things sometimes, even when she hasn’t done anything to learn it.
Jackie has been pulled to consult for the SIA on a handful of occasions. There are other psychics employed in the organization, but sometimes Jackie’s talent for the specific is necessary to salvage a situation or prevent a tragedy.
Jackie doesn’t realize how powerful she is? Her visions/general feelings about the future are always extremely specific and she’s so used to this that she has no idea how rare that is, but she can tell you something like ‘Tuesday at 10:04 am you’re going to choke on an apple if you don’t do anything to stop it’ whereas most people don’t get the whole date/time thing right.
