I agree that Hyde would not like Grease because it’s a corny musical, but at the end of the movie Sandy and Danny both change because they want to be in each other’s life. Sandy shows up it the leather jacket and Danny is wearing a preppy cardigan. Grease is not a feminist masterpiece, but it’s not as one-sided as it seems.
Ah. Y’know, I never noticed Danny changes his wardrobe at the end of the movie. Sandy’s change is so dramatic that Danny’s got lost on me.
What have been your best and worst moments during lockdown? (You've had such a great idea, let's celebrate the great Dan Humphrey!)
Serena and I have two cats we adopted a few months ago. We’ve named them Jennifer and Ericson (Serena’s idea, but she was just joking. Jen and Eric made us do it, though.) They’re the best part of lockdown, undoubtedly; they can’t go five minutes without causing some kind of trouble, or just looking endearing enough that it’s temporary relief from the grief that is the pandemic. That’s one of the best moments, for sure. I also have this little rooftop garden where I grow herbs, and it’s nice having something small like that in our living space.
Keeping aside all the grief and loss of this time, and being selfish, I’d have to admit that the worst moment for me is I haven’t written in months. Not for lack of trying. I make myself coffee and I get my typewriter out, and I sit there and stare at it. I open my laptop for a change of pace and I stare at that, too. I get out a notebook to be old-school, but I still can’t find my words. It doesn’t matter what I do. I’ve just run entirely empty. Wherever my words were, they aren’t there anymore. There’s nothing left.
I think you said that you started reading the gossip girl books and I very happy to announce that the 7th book has the blairnessa dynamic that the world needs! It genuinely seems like something you might have written! If you ever get around to reading it, I would love to hear what you think about it
oooh, is this the one with the roommates thing?? i’m sadly stuck forever on book 3 (uni doesn’t really leave me in the right headspace to Read for Fun but like, it’ll happen!) - anyway. TOTALLY looking forward to it!
36. What's your favourite movie? 😊
My go-to answer is usually About Time, although tbh the movie I watch/think about the most is Mamma Mia haha.

#29 from the simple and soft asks: do you collect anything? what are some of your hobbies?
29. Do you collect anything? And what are some hobbies you have?
Hah! I guess I would say my hobby right now is mainly writing...it’s kinda sad though, I don’t think I’ve ever had true, true hobbies. Up until the pandemic I was very much a work first kind of person and any free time I had was spent watching TV.
Edit: Actually you know what, I was a pretty big reader in my youth if that counts? Not anymore though :(
As for collecting, hmm. I don’t think I’ve really seriously collected anything? Idk I find it harder and harder to care about like...physical things. Like we were preparing for an evacuation for a fire once and I realized there wasn’t really any physical non-living things I cared about bringing with me. I guess maybe family heirlooms? I have a lot of those, jewelry, music boxes, my grandmother is insisting I get all her favorite stuff when she dies cause she knows I won’t throw it out...yeah.
