I just wanted to thank all of the GIFmakers because of all the small details it allows me to see.
Thank you SO MUCH!
There will come a time in the not too distant future where you will not be able to log onto this hellsite without finding yourself confronted by a gifset or screencap of Jensen Ackles’ naked buttcheeks and I don’t know if the internet - or in fact society at large - is ready for that
I had a thought about acting choices, specifically johnlock, but this can be applied to destiel as well While people have long since talked about the individual choices of actors (John's jealousy, Dean and Cas looking at each other like that), those aren't the only choices going on. Actors don't just decide how they are going to portray a character by themselves. When they are working with someone in a scene, especially when they are working with someone that the characters have a big connection to each other, there is communication between the actors about how to play the scene. So, yes, Martin Freeman mad choices about John, Benedict Cumberbatch made choices about Sherlock, Jensen Ackles made choices about Dean and Misha Collins made choices about Castiel, Martin and Ben made choices together about John and Sherlock; Jensen and Misha made choices together about Dean and Cas. I don't see those kinds of acting choices talked about often.
Ok but I will pay someone to ask Jensen how he, personally, would play Dean if they were ever to film some sort of reboot in which Castiel and Dean were reunited.
I don’t want Jared’s opinion and I don’t want his interpretation of what the writers would probably put in the script. I want to know how Jensen, specifically, would play it.
We know he believes Dean only realised Cas’ true feelings right at the very end. And we know Dean was struggling to comprehend what that meant and how to interpret those feelings because he wasn’t aware angels could love with the same capacity as a human. But we also know he was devastated when Cas was taken. We know Jensen said that if Cas had been at the door in 15x19 there would’ve been ‘a huge embrace’. And we know that Dean has had a lot of time in Heaven to think about everything, to reflect on past relationships and talk to all the people he’s lost over the years and I think, knowing how particular Jackles is and how complex he made Dean’s character over the years, he would take all of these things into consideration.
So if anyone wants to ask him about that then… y’know, I’d be really interested in the answer.
