#RIP Rest in Peace 🕊️ #JaclynJose, the first #Filipino and #SoutheastAsian to win Palme d'Or, the highest prize awarded at Festival #Cannes 2016 for Best Actress in 'Ma' Rosa', died at 59 on Mar 2, 2024. No cause of death was revealed.
According to the Daily Tribune, Marikina PNP is currently investigating a report that the actress was found alone and lifeless in her house at Loyola Grand Villas in Quezon City.
An Icon in the Philippine Cinema, she received 5 Gawad Urians, 2 Luna Awards, and a FAMAS Award, in addition to an Asian Film Awards nomination. She was last seen in FPJ's #BatangQuiapo as #ChiefEspinas.
