JACK: Are you trying to bribe me with sex?
CAMI: Not exactly. I’m just telling you that there’s a haunted house not too far from here and if we were to go, you might get lucky in said house.
Springs bounced as Camila all but dive bombed onto Jack’s mattress, not bothering to check whether he was awake or not. He would be now, wouldn’t he? That’s all that mattered. They’d spoken a lot since she first arrived here, but beside their date, they hadn’t spent near enough time together and she was here to change that. She liked Jack. He was fun. Carefree. A little bit bad, mixed in with a whole lot of good. Being around him made Cami feel something she hadn’t felt in a while. It made her feel like she was living, rather than just getting by. Made her feel like maybe she was finally moving on from that unrequitable love festering between her and her best friend. ‘Hi,’ the actress greeted, shuffling closer while propping her head up on one hand. ‘Wake up. Pay attention to me. I’m bored.’

Jack O’Connell was somebody who had caught Camila’s interest almost immediately. He was funny, boisterous. Charming, in his own little way, and more importantly? Hadn’t balked at the first sign mention of ghosts. That automatically made him a winner in her books. Tie it in with the fact James Cook might’ve been her first fictional crush and it was impossible not to flirt when the opportunity presented itself. Clearly she’d done something right too, considering they were heading out together. Putting her phone down with a smile, Cami jumped up from the sun lounger she’d been settled on and headed towards his suite. Knuckles rapped against the door, peering in with a coy smile. ‘Psst,’ she whispered in his direction. ‘Y’ready? Better sneak out while we can. We don’t want the ghost to catch us.’
