Hey everyone, yesterday was an extremely hard day for my family. We lost our old man, Black Jack. He was the original Halloween cat in our house and lived his entire 17 years 4 months exactly in our home. My mama is his mama and that was her baby. He waited last night for his mama to come home so he could say goodbye then passed away peacefully in her arms. He will FOREVER be in our home stalking the halls and yard. Cross the rainbow bridge jack attack. We’ll see you again. 04/01/01–08/01/18

Cool tip for pumpkin carvers!
If your making jack-o-lanturns from small pumpkins or gourds that aren't the conventional orange pumpkin because to mainstream, than buy some plastic electric tea candles:
I got these from Waitrose since I live in the UK, but for those of you in North America, you can probably get them from retail and dollar stores near you.
I know it may be tempting to just use a fire candle for authenticity, but I'd definitely save those for lager pumpkins, as they can burn the inside tops of smaller gourds. Plus, if you want the flickery effect of regular candles, don't worry! Candles like these also faintly flicker.
