First Meetings || Jami and Jack
Jami sat back in her chair, pitching yet another paper ball into the nearest bin. Sure, she enjoyed being an agent. At least, she did most days. When there was the hustle and bustle of agents running around, looking for answers to their most complicated questions. Even doing fieldwork, while absolutely terrifying, was thrilling enough to keep her busy, and therefore happy. However, that didn’t seem to be the case tonight, at least not yet. She’d been relegated to paperwork for her last field op, most of which had been converted into ammo for her current game. Stark Industries had been a circus at times, but there had been a world’s worth less paperwork to do. At least she would have something new to tinker with.
Her ears perked at the sound of the elevator, announcing the arrival of someone else on her floor. Without looking up she loosed another shot, and it bounced off the rim and fell onto the floor instead. She shrugged a shoulder, sitting up straight again, and flashed a bright grin at the newcomer. “SHIELD Engineering. You sure you’re in the right place? Thought maybe they’d quarantined the floor or something, the way people been avoiding the place.”
