🛌my muse’s biggest nightmare

Annette’s most frequent nightmares involve her being alone. Often lost in fog or smoke or darkness or being trapped behind some locked door or in a cage or under rubble of some kind.  In her nightmares, she often attempts to scream only to find she has no voice, or will try to run only to find that her feet are too heavy to do so. Most often Annette is trying to get to someone but it proves to be impossible. Sometimes, she is trying to escape someone but finds herself endlessly cornered. It is a rare occasion for her to see anyone else in these nightmares.

🎒what was my muse’s worst subject in school?

Drake’s worst subject was definitely English – he’s not very romantic, at least in the sense of sincere romance, so many of the works he was made to study in his lessons came off as nonsense to him. Besides, who would want to spend hours reading some stuffy old book when there were loads of other trouble to get into.

Elliot is an unhealthy bab who, when he gets stressed, stops eating and sleeping as much as he needs to. If the stress lasts over a period of time, he tends to become rather skeletal, but continues to insist that he’s fine. It’s not a conscious decision, it’s that he simply doesn’t feel hungry, and can’t fall asleep at night. It’s often something he doesn’t realize he’s actually doing, until someone points out that he looks like death, and that he needs to do something about the bags under his eyes.

Sweets. Maybe it’s not much of a guilty pleasure, because most people have a thing for baked goods, but Maelie sometimes can’t resist the smell of a bakery as she walks by, and often leaves with a chocolate croissant or another tasty item for her to snack on. This is enhanced particularly when she’s stressed.

The emblazoned necktie laid on the floor between he and Jack’s beds. Besides his drooping eyes the forgone uniform piece was the only evidence that Mister Sinclair knew how to loosen up, contrary to what their schoolmates believed. Without Jack in the picture, they would have been correct in assuming the First Year was of the constrained sort. Whether or not that was entirely by his choice, however, was still up in the air.

Bhari sank into the reading chair in the corner upon hearing the question. It was bad enough trying to keep his anxiety at bay while skipping class to drink heavily, but an existential crisis would have made it worse. 

“I-I… I don’t believe it was any one person. It’s not that simple.” His eyes moved about the room, looking at just about everything save for his dorm mate. As he pondered his many upsets, Bhari worried his bottom lip between his teeth. He took another deep breath through his nose as he tried his best to fight the urge to vomit. 

“There’s many factors. I’m not entirely… I haven’t exactly been h-happy as of late.”

There was a buzz in the air as everybody began arriving at the Arnault house following Anais’ concert that evening. Once again, he was amongst those he would rather not spent too much time with...then again, when was her really with anybody he enjoyed spending time with?

With a glass of welcome champagne from the ostentatious tower, he thanked the waitress and made his way deeper into the building. The walls were festooned with modern paintings, chandeliers boasting a wealth he knew Arnault probably could not anymore, but that was his secret to keep and use at the right time.

Bringing the coupe to his lips, he entered the next room - a grandiose ballroom with a boisterous band playing at the other side. He took in the crowd for a few moments before walking towards a guest on his own, the son of a business acquaintance he once knew before his passing. He hadn’t seen him since the funeral.

“Monsieur Sauvage.” He extended his hand towards the younger man. “How have you been? Last I heard you were back in Paris for good? Is that still the case?”
