Blake had looked over the file he’d been given multiple times, hell he could probably recite it now that he’s seen it enough, but it’s not everyday that an asset is suggested to you and he wanted to get to know them. Obviously he didn’t opt for the more personal route, the one where he’d actually meet him face to face, no instead he read and reviewed every last detail in those folders that all masters / mistresses receive when the time is right.
He looked good from the stock photos they had of him, sounded good on paper, so far Blake wasn’t too disappointed. He had to meet him though, and so he found his way to the hub with the assets room number in hand. He’d surprise him, knock on his door, steal him away from the Hub for a little while to see how they meshed - it’s the least he could do after the island paired them off like that.
Granted, what if the asset didn’t care for him? Here he was wondering how he’d feel about the asset, but forgetting that it was a two way street and the asset might find him a bit too much to handle. Fuck, perhaps this was a bad idea after all, but it’s not like he could turn back now as he stopped right infront of the room number on the piece of paper in his hand and knocked. He couldn’t hesitate because if he did he’d leave, and that’d accomplish next to nothing, so instead he stood there and waited for the door to open - that’s if the asset was even there in the first place. Shit, another thing he didn’t take into consideration, but he hoped it’d be early enough that the asset hadn’t already wandered off somewhere.
He wouldn’t even entertain the idea that he could have been taken to someone else’s cabin overnight and not be there at all - that’d just kill this entire plan of his, but it could have been possible. Nerves starting to creep up at all the possibilities - this might not have been as good of an idea as he’d thought....
