JACKSON MCKENZIE is SEVENTEEN years old and attends FAIRVIEW HIGH SCHOOL. It is said that he is BISEXUAL. It is also said he looks like CHRIS COLFER. Unfortunately for you he is TAKEN.
The acceptance of certain realities doesn't preclude idealism. It can lead to certain breakthroughs.
Secret: While at a family BBQ, Jackson found something out that he wasn't sure he was supposed to ever know. While his whole family was outside cooking and playing games, Jackson went inside to go to the bathroom. After hearing some arguing, he naturally became interested by what was being said, and listened in. However doing that yielded information he struggled to process: His uncle claimed that Jackson was his son. What bothered him most was that his mom confirmed it. Now Jackson isn't sure how to act around his family, especially his favorite uncle, his mom, or his almost best friend and cousin (and apparently half sister). He's determined though to ignore it and not try to bring it up, not wanting to watch the people he calls his parents marriage fall apart.
Biography: Jackson Michael McKenzie was born on a warm November day. Most would say that Jackson was a happy baby, and an even happier child. He always was smiling, and people around him smiled even more because of it. Jackson was never that great in school, learning and education never came that easy to him, he had to work hard to get good grades, something his younger brother and sister seemed to do easily without much thinking. Still, he never let that get in his way, and he pushed himself to do his very best in school. Generally, Jackson pushed himself self to do well in any situation. His parents and teachers never really noticed, but if he got poor grades, or a poor rating, he took it pretty hard. Jackson is an outgoing guy who tries to find positive things to say about everyone, but is also known for a snarky attitude.
Jackson and his family were pretty close. His father and mothered owned a local Pizzeria and French bakery. He grew up helping out around the restaurant with his siblings. His mother often shared stories from her childhood about living abroad in France till she was an adult, and frequently they would obsess over details. He and his father shared a passion for not only cooking, but for swimming. Both of them spent hours in the water, almost as much as Jackson was in school or working with his parents.
Frequently, Jackson spends a lot of time with his widowed uncle and his daughter, Emma. It was during one of their biweekly barbecues that he discovered something he would have rather not heard: he was not his father’s son. Behind closed doors, while everyone was out of the house. He could clearly hear his mother and uncle having a conversation, and it was a shocking discovery to find out that his real father was actually who he believed was his uncle due to an affair the two had had when they were in college. The information bothered Jackson, and as of lately, he’s tending to avoid his mother and uncle.

1. Do you enjoy the school you’re at? What made you decide to join the clubs you have joined?
The school is pretty decent, considering its a knock off of Oceanview. Part of me wishes I had convinced my parents to go for the Oceanview scholarship, because I feel like I would have succeeded more. I’m happy at Fairview, kind of have to be.
I’ve practically spent a third of my life in the water. I joined the kiddie swim team as soon as I officially understood what everything meant. As for the Culinary thing well - - lets just say its in my blood. Still, cooking is a lot of fun, I actually enjoy it quite a bit. As for the newspaper - -well that’s a funny story. I happen to enjoy being on top of what’s going on around me
2. What are your views on the culinary competition?
I live and breathe competitions. When I heard that the culinary team was going to be competing this year, I immediately signed up. I’m not too sure we’ll actually win, but I might as well enjoy myself regardless, right?
