Summary: You’re dating Jack Avery from Why Don’t We. There are a lot of ups and downs but you guys love each other endlessly. However, the more and more Jack is on tour, the harder it is on you. Will your relationship last through the long distance?
*part 1*
“You look beautiful today babe” Jack said over FaceTime.
“Thank you, you don’t look too bad yourself handsome” I said
“I miss you so much y/n. I wish I was there with you right now. It’s just not the same without you here with me.” Jack frowned.
“I know baby, but this is your dream.”
“My dream doesn’t mean anything without you”
“I’m still here Jack. I’m just not next to you. I know you’re going to do great things with the boys. You guys already have millions of fans! Yes, it sucks that I can’t be with you, but I love you so much. So please be strong for me. Keep your head up high” I smiled
“I love you so much. Thank you for always encouraging me and supporting my dream” Jack smiled
“No problem baby. I’m always in your corner no matter what”
“C’mon Jack we have to get ready for rehearsal!” I hear Zach yell over the phone. Jack frowned and looked at me.
“Sorry babe, I gotta go”
“Go kick some ass. I love you” I smiled
“I love you too y/n. I’ll call you later, bye” jack said as he blew me a kiss and hung up the phone. Truth is, it does hurt that he’s not here. Long distance is so hard. But, just being able to see him smile and hear him laugh is enough to get me through my day.
“Hey y/n?” I hear my best friend Dayna say.
“Yeah?” I said looking up
“You wanna go to the zoo? I’m bored and you look sad”
“Yeah, that sounds great. Thanks Dayna” I smile
“No problem, lets get going but grab a sweater, it’s a little chilly outside.” I grab one of Jack’s sweaters he left me and grabbed my purse. I put on my vans and waited for Dayna to be ready. Once we were ready we got in Dayna’s car and started driving. “So are you gonna tell me why you’re sad?”
“I just miss him” I stated.
“Jack?” She asked
“Yeah.”
“When does he come home next?”
“A little over a month I believe” I frowned
“Well, that’s not too bad. It could be a lot worse” Dayna said
“Yeah, I know. I just wish he was here. I miss being cuddled and I miss the little forehead kisses he gives me”
“Well, I’ll be Jack til he comes back. I’ll cuddle you and give you forehead kisses” She smirked
“Bet!” I laughed “Thank you for cheering me up. You’re the best”
“Hey, it’s my job. I’m always here for you”
“I know” I smiled. We finally arrived to the zoo and we both wanted to see the elephants first. Eventually we made our way over to the Giraffes.
“Look! It’s Daniel!” I yelled as I pointed at one of the Giraffes. Dayna laughed and rolled her eyes. We continued to walk around and decided to sit on a bench next to a pond. I was watching the ducks swim around the water and just smiled at the beautiful sight.
“Damn, Corbyn is a good swimmer” Dayna said.
“What?” I looked at her confused. She pointed at one of the ducks.
“Ya know, cause Corbyn looks like a duck” Dayna laughed. I laughed along with her til tears started rolling down my face.
“Why are we like this?” I laughed
“Why do the boys look like animals!?”
“Well, at least my boyfriend doesn’t look like any of these animals”
“True. Now come on let’s finish seeing all of the animals.” Dayna said
“Let’s go!” We walked around and saw all of the animals. I sent Jack a bunch of pictures of the cute animals.
“You ready to go?” Dayna asked
“Yeah, lets go” Dayna drove me back to my apartment that I shared with Jack and dropped me off. “Bye, thank you for driving. Love you!”
“Love you too!” Dayna yelled then drove away. I went inside and started to call Jack. I just need to hear his voice right now. It dialed but I got no response. I frowned and sat down on the couch and turned on my favorite tv show. I started dozing off and before I knew it , it was already 11pm. I turned the lights off and started heading to bed. Then my phone rang. I looked at it and it was Jack calling. I immediately answered the FaceTime.
“Hey baby!” I yelled before even looking at the phone. Then realizing it was Daniel calling on Jacks phone.
“Sorry y/n, I’m not Jack but I’ll give the phone to him in a minute. But I have a bone to pick with you missy” Daniel squinted his eyes at me.
“What, why? What did I do?” I asked
“YOU TOOK A PICTURE OF A GIRAFFE AND SENT IT TO JACK WITH THE TITLE OF ‘DANIEL IN HIS NATURAL HABITAT’! YOU KNOW HOW MUCH HE’S BEEN MAKING FUN OF ME NOW! I thought we were friends y/n” Daniel said as he started to fake cry. I laughed at how dumb Daniel was acting.
“Now get outta hear, I wanna talk to my girl” Jack said as he came into view. “Hey baby”
“Hi Jack” I smiled.
“How was your day?” He asked
“It was alright. Basically spent the entire day with Dayna at the zoo.”
“Sounds like fun baby”
“Yeah it was. How was the show?” I asked
“It was crazy! The fans were so loud and so friendly. Jonah fell on his ass during Come to Brazil. It was so funny” Jack laughed.
“Omg, is he okay!?”
“Yeah, he’s fine. Just bruised his ego a bit” he laughed.
“Hey! I heard that” Jonah yelled over the phone
“Anyways babe, I got to go. Just wanted to call and say goodnight.” Jack said
“Oh, okay. Goodnight”
“I love you y/n”
“Love you too Jack.” I said as I hung up the phone. I don’t know why I felt so sad. Something about that phone call broke my heart. I’m probably just overreacting. So I headed to bed and cuddled jacks pillow til I fell asleep.
