As promised, I wrote and recorded a new album in February this year for the RPM challenge. In fact I wrote and recorded this album in 17 days.
I'm pretty proud of it. I think it slips nicely into my catalogue and generally fits my music aesthetic, but at the same time it's something completely new and different. This album is short and dark and stripped down yet nuanced. I crafted a particular tone and fx for the album and tried to apply it consistently, for mood flow. The lyrics are a little bit more minimalist and obscure than I'm used to crafting.
If you've never listened to my stuff before, you may not get a sense of my usual fare from this album. And that's cool with me. I like the direction in which this album took me. So I hope you do too.
