So weird how different people perceive a show.
Some believe Jacob truly loved Abish and that it was a good thing she was reunited with him.
To me, it felt more like possessiveness and not wanting to lose a wife after already losing his original fiancée.
His search might seem like caring at first (though I never got that impression from their marriage), but it gave me the impression of entitlement and obsession.
Also, she clearly wanted freedom and did not want to be married to him. Her final moment was not good at ALL.
