Wouldn’t Abigail and Jacob have loved one of these quilts on their bed? I don’t know if such a thing would have been heard of in 1919 (the year my book is at now) Flags would have been meant just for flying and the fabric may have not been available for such a extravagance, because they used to use old clothes to make quilts.
