PT 1: Not So Ordinary Day🌸🍒
"Get up, Dynastie, we have school. Wake up," 12-year-old Shadaysha said as she shook her four-year-old sister to wake her up.
Dynastie stretches and yawns, finally getting up. "I'm going."
The girls head downstairs once they are dressed, and Shadaysha fixes them both a bowl of oatmeal. When they are done, Dynastie rinses the bowls in the sink. They grab their stuff and start their walk to school. The walk is only a couple of blocks, and both girls are used to walking it. As they get halfway to school, an eighteen-year-old boy and his crew jump out of nowhere, grabbing the girls.
They are quickly blindfolded and put in the back of a car. Dynastie starts to cry. Shadaysha does everything to try to soothe her sister. After a few minutes, the car stops. The girls are let out, but they are still blindfolded. They are tied to a tree stump. "Don't scream. If you do, I will have to hurt you." The girls sat close together, crying and hoping that someone would find them.
A few hours later, they heard someone nearby. Shadaysha, going into protective mode, screams, "Leave us alone." The person gets closer. The girls began shaking. They are quickly untied and put in the back of what seems like another car. Soon the car stops. The girls are let out on a street corner. They began walking to try to find their way back home.
They soon get tired of walking and find a bench to sit on. Dynastie, not fully understanding what's going on, says, "I want to go home." Shadaysha wraps her arms around her, rocking her. Shadaysha has to figure out a way to get to safety.
Just then a car pulls up in front of the girls and comes to a stop. A tall, heavy-set man with blonde hair gets out, and so do two other men. "Hey little ladies, what are two young girls like yourselves doing out here?" Shadaysha stands in front of Dynastie. "We're just trying to find our way back home." The man whispers something to his bodyguards, and they nod, walking away. The man looks at Dynastie and smiles. "You are beautiful, little one." Dynastie smiles just as her stomach starts to growl. She looks down. "Are you hungry? The man asks. "When was the last time you had food?" Dynastie shrugs her shoulders. The man checks his watch. "I tell you what, he says. It is lunchtime. How about I get you two some lunch? Shadaysha, the protective one, was hesitant. She was indeed hungry, but she didn't know who to trust. She didn't think too long because her stomach began to growl, signaling she was also hungry.
"Ok, I suppose we can just get lunch." The man smiled, showing off his pearly whites. My name is Big Kish. The girls give him a small smile as he opens the backseat car door for them to get in.
The drive is short. They pull up to a steakhouse. Big Kish orders burgers and fries for everyone. As they sit in the booth and eat, he looks at Shadaysha. "Is the food okay?" Shadaysha nods her head. Soon dessert comes to the table. It is a vanilla waffle cone with strawberry ice cream. Dynastie's eyes grow big like saucers. "Is that for me?" She asks excitedly, bouncing up and down. Big Kish laughs and says, "Yes, it is for you. Eat up." Dynastie grabs a spoon and eats her ice cream. When she's finished, Shadaysha takes her to the restroom to help her clean up. While they are in there, Big Kish makes a call.
"Hey, next time, you gotta do a better job of making sure all bases are covered. The girls got away. I saw them sitting on the park bench. I guess I gotta handle this myself since you can't do it right.
"Sorry, boss, I made sure they were blindfolded and tied them up as tight as I could," said Jacob. I'll use two ropes next time. So, what are you going to do with them?
"This is not my call, son; I am answering to someone else on this one. I'll have to hit em up so I can figure out the next moves. said Big Kish. Let me handle this situation; talk later."
Shadaysha and Dynastie are led back to the car. The driver takes off and begins driving. The drive is long, and Dynastie falls asleep. Shadaysha stays awake as long as she can. She looks out of the window at the sun setting. Before long, she falls asleep.
Shadaysha is suddenly awakened as she hears a door slam. She looks up, trying to figure out where they are. Everywhere she looks, nothing looks familiar. She and Dynastie are in a bedroom with two beds and Hello Kitty decor. It seems brand new. Shadaysha looks over, and her sister is fast asleep. She tries to go to the door and open it; it's locked. She begins to panic as confusion sets in on why the door is locked. Not having the strength to put up a fight, she climbs in the bed with Dynastie and falls asleep.
The next morning, Shadaysha wakes up as she sees that the door is unlocked and opened. She carefully gets out of the bed and walks toward the door. She hears Big Kish's voice. "So, what do you want me to do about this situation? I have other matters to tend to and can't babysit all day."
The voice on the other end sounds familiar to Shadaysha, but as she is racking her brain to figure out who it is, Dynastie wakes up. "Shadaysha, where are we?" Shadaysha walks over to Dynastie and sits beside her on the bed.
"I'm not totally sure, Dynastie. I just know we aren't supposed to be here." As the girls sit and wonder, a man comes in with plates of food. "Big Kish said for y'all to eat up. We gotta leave soon." Shadaysha remembers seeing him before with Big Kish, but she didn't know his name.
Shadaysha looks him up and down. She didn't trust him to take food from him. The man smiles and says, "My name is Loa. I am close to Big Kish." Reluctantly, the girls take the plates and eat. After they ate, a woman came in the room with bags of clothes. "Good morning, girls, my name is Mina. I was told that you needed help getting cleaned up." Dynastie smiled and nodded. Shadaysha welcomed the warmth that the woman brought into the room. Mina helps Dynastie bathe and does her hair in two buns. Shadaysha is next to get cleaned up. Once the girls are cleaned up, Big Kish calls the girls down. They pile in the car and are off.
Big Kish brings the girls to a park. He watches as Dynastie goes for the swings as Shadaysha pushes her. Big Kish watches the girls for a while. Shadaysha notices that Big Kish is gone. Not understanding where he could have gone, she thinks he had errands to run. The girls then head to the slide and take turns sliding down. All of a sudden, Shadaysha hears a voice she thought she'd never hear again. "Sha, Dynastie, my girls, I found you." The man says with relief. Dynastie runs to the familiar voice. "Daddy," she exclaimed. Shadaysha looked shocked, to say the least. It's been three and a half years since they saw their father. Their father embraced both of the girls. "How did you know where to find us?"
