Father: *glances at the clock and immediately sits up* It's one minute past six... But Jacquelyn was supposed to be home from shopping by six o'clock! *jumps up* Something must have happened! What if she's been kidnapped?! *glances at the clock again* 6:02! I'm running out of time! I've got to save her! But I'm going to some need help! *bolts for his study*
Faust: *had just walked in with the Delightful Children holding shopping bags, watching him run off* ... ... ... It's only been two minutes and I think your father has finally lost it.
Delightful Children: No, he's just not used to being in a semi-stable relationship with someone who actually likes him back.
Faust: ... Who is he calling for help?
Delightful Children: Probably Uncle Monty. He doesn't like anyone else enough to ask them for help.
DCFDTL: *turns to what Father assumes is Faust behind him* Miss Faust, can we? *silence follows* Miss Faust says we can.
Father: *turns, whining like a kid who didn't get his way, not used to someone who could override him* BUT I TOLD THEM NO-! *sees it's an armor stand and the DCFDTL snicker quietly* ... ... ... Go to your room |[
They'll ragebait one another into marriage sooner or later.
Probably later.
After a couple hundred or so break ups/make ups.
Can't rush that sort of thing.
Could be a long engagement.
Though Father would end up being one hell of a Bridezilla and Faust would sit back like an amused wine aunt just to see how it all goes down and how many people he can piss off simultaneously up until the set date. The only one absolutely over the moon about this is Monty, since he ends up being asked to be Best Man. To Nigel's chagrin, he's forced to be the ring bearer.
The ceremony would be a complete circus thanks to Sector V crashing it for the wedding cake and to save Nigel and the Delightful Children retaliating which destroys half of the venue. Chaos ensues when the rest of the villains decide to get in on the action and Moosk starts a brawl among them to help Nigel and his friends. Faust is thoroughly entertained but Father had spent most of his rage on planning the event so he doesn't really have the energy to deal with any of this.
Once everything comes to a standstill, Faust and Father decide to drop it altogether and just elope. To where ends up being a spat back and forth until they come to a decision that appeases no one. They do have a good time, regardless.
Sector V is violently confronted by the Delightful Children, believing that they did something to make Father start acting strangely. They don't know what, but Father has announced his "retirement" as CEO of Evil Adults Enterprises and from adult villainy entirely, and has been pressuring the DC to do the same.
The DC, upon realizing Sector V had no idea what they were talking about, explained that Father had returned from Saratoga Springs acting strangely, more meekly, and prone to jumping at the smallest things. At first, they thought it was because he was still upset that Faust couldn't go with him and, for some reason, thought she'd break up with him, but strangely, he wasn't angry as he had been when he left. He was paranoid, and when asked about the spat, Father seemed confused as to who Faust was. Father clearly recognized the DC and acted devastated at the sight of them, at how they were dressed and how they acted. He also wore a horrid clash of colors instead of his more dapper ones and seemed to have dyed his hair for... some reason, at least according to the DC. The next thing they knew, he announced that he was giving up villainy altogether.
The Delightful Children had tried going to Faust to talk sense into Father, but she had left town for a toy convention earlier that day, hence why she couldn't join him, and she wouldn't be back for hours. All attempts to contact her have hit a dead end. Out of options, they chose to confront the KND.
Sector V found this strangely familiar and decided to investigate. The said investigation led them to a barricaded study door in the Delightful Mansion. Upon knocking, a shakey, desperate voice answered and Nigel immediately recognized it. This wasn't Father. It was Daddy from the alternate dimension where kids were put to work and adults did nothing but play all day. After a short exchange calming the man down, the sound of furniture moving reached their ears and the door opened. There stood a tall, thin man with brown hair, purple horn-rimmed glasses in a turquoise and purple ensemble, trembling like a baby deer.
Once he felt safe enough, Daddy laments what he remembered before appearing here. Negative Numbuh Four had escaped the broccoli mines and reopened the portal to this world to enact revenge on the KND, though in a different, secluded area that seemed to be connected to this world's Saratoga Springs. Daddy, feeling useless to his kids, decided to take matters into his own hands when he catches sight of NNF right before the portal is opened. Daddy followed NNF into the portal, only to come face to face with his Positive counterpart who had been relaxing in a private pool. Father is absolutely pissed seeing a kid in his room with a mixture of confusion and rage upon seeing a version of himself who "dresses tacky." Before Father could address the situation and before Daddy could stop him, NNF shoved Father into the portal and escaped into the Positive World. Daddy was only able to find his way back to the Delightful Mansion because Father's chauffeur had brought him there. He didn't get a chance to chase after the boy.
The man hanged his head, declaring himself a failure for letting NNF escape and his counterpart be sent to the Negative World. Other than confronting the KND and Wally, Daddy has no idea where NNF would have gone and the portal had closed behind Father, so both Negative sides were stranded in the Positive one. The Delightful Children nearly lose their minds at the thought that Father was switched with such a cowardly man and end up being locked in the attic by the KND after they tried attacking Daddy to find out where Father had ended up. This reminds him about everything he found out about Father and how he had a mental breakdown over how cruel his other half was to the point he tried to fix everything the counterpart had done in the Positive World. Daddy fretted over what could be happening in the Negative World now that someone worse than NNF was among the healing society.
Sector V made the decision to unclog the sand from Numbuh Four's pool to try to reactivate that portal somehow to get to the other side to intercept Father while sending operatives to hunt down NNF before he could cause any damage to their world.
Because Faust deals with toys, she also deals with anything pertaining to Rainbow Monkeys, especially SUPER rare ones, which excites Kuki to no end.
However, there is one super special Rainbow Monkey that Kuki has only heard rumors about that Faust actually has but won't part with. It's the Royal Winter Jubilee Rainbow Monkey, a white Rainbow Monkey with shiny silver foil in its fur and sparkling platinum eyes wearing a glittering ice blue tuxedo and top hat with rainbow buttons going down its front. On its lapel is a black rose and a small tag with the word "Snowdrop" on it.
The rumors say only one was ever made and was sold to a private collector after the owner had passed away. Faust claims not to be this collector and states that she has had it much longer than the rumors claimed.
Kuki secretly covets the pristine Rainbow Monkey as it is displayed behind glass for a week in Faust's shop for a special Rainbow Monkey anniversary event and Faust made it very clear that, under no circumstances, was the plush to be messed with. Despite this, Kuki's want to play and hold the rare monkey was unbearable.
While talking herself out of going against Faust's instructions, she overhears a black-haired man with red glasses trying to talk Faust into taking a break from working and going on a trip with him to a lodge up in the mountains. Faust hesitates, citing the anniversary event and how she should really be available during that time. When he presses that it would only be the weekend, Kuki gets an idea.
What follows is a crayon rendition of Kuki's plan: If Faust left with the man for the weekend, Kuki could take the Rainbow Monkey from its case so it wouldn't be lonely and would get to see her bedroom within the KND tree house where he could have a party with all of her other Rainbow Monkeys as the VIP and then return the Rainbow Monkey before Faust came back. Faust wouldn't even know that it was gone.
Kuki decides that this is a great idea and rushes up to Faust to insist that she goes on the trip. Unbeknownst to Kuki, Moosk had entered behind her with a crate and insisted the same, that it was only two days and he would be able to handle it. Faust relents, which makes the man she was talking to grin and give her more details about the trip.
Once the coast was clear and Faust had left for the trip, Kuki manages to swipe the Rainbow Monkey with a dummy plush so Moosk wouldn't give it a second glance and took the Rainbow Monkey back to her tree house.
At first, everything was great. Kuki got her party and introduced the guest of honor to all of her other Rainbow Monkeys. She jumped on the bed with it, fed it tea and sugary snacks, and had an all-around good time for half of the first day. It wasn't until the tree house was suddenly attacked that everything started to fall apart.
Abigail, upon running into Kuki's room to get her to help with the attack, immediately recognizes the Rainbow Monkey and that Kuki had stolen it. Kuki tries to defend herself, saying she didn't steal it, she was merely babysitting it while Faust was away. However, because Faust was away, the adult villains were now taking full advantage of the situation and attacking them, which was why she was hesitant on leaving in the first place. The event was merely an excuse not to leave the KND vulnerable. Oopsie.
Kuki is instructed to return the Rainbow Monkey the moment the fighting died down since they were already trying to reach out to Faust for help, only to find out where she had gone had no cell reception. They would have to send someone to find her instead. Regardless, the thought of Faust coming back early to find the Rainbow Monkey that Kuki was told not to mess with gone scared her to no end and she tried to return it during the attack instead. While trying to do this, the Rainbow Monkey is knocked out of her hands and is put through the wringer.
Wally accidentally shoots it when aiming for Count Spankulot who tried to descend upon Kuki in that moment, Nigel kicks it into the Common Cold's face, which makes it slippery and causes Hoagie slip on it when it hit the floor, inadvertently grinding gum and other gunk dropped by the Candy Pirates into its fur. To add insult to injury, it starts soaking up toilet water from the Toiletnator clogging up the pipes and flooding the tree house by a couple of inches.
Upon seeing Kuki screaming and chasing the plush while dodging attacks and villains, Mr. Boss snatches it and threatens to burn it unless Sector V surrenders. A closer inspection makes the villain gasp and drop the doll, loudly declaring who it belongs to and the fighting stops.
Abby, seeing this as an opportunity, gives him an ultimatum of her own: If he and the other villains don't leave right now, she'll tell Faust that THEY, the villains, are the ones responsible for destroying the priceless Rainbow Monkey. If they were so scared of her before that they had to wait for her to leave town to pull an all-out attack like this, Abby would hate to see what she'd be like after finding out what THEY did to a historic toy.
Mr. Boss shouts for a retreat without hesitation and every villain present floods out of the tree house, leaving the kids with the ruined plushie. Kuki is in tears, hugging the Rainbow Monkey to her, devastated, not only at the situation, but how she allowed such a precious toy to be destroyed because of her actions. Wally suggests they hide it but Nigel disagrees, since the villains know the Rainbow Monkey was in their possession and could use that to turn Faust against them. Kuki needed to tell the truth. He suggests bringing it to Moosk in the morning to see if there was any way to salvage it and to help soften the blow if there isn't.
On the way to Wish Lizt the next day, Hoagie wonders aloud how Mr. Boss knew whose Rainbow Monkey it was, causing Kuki to sadly gaze at the Rainbow Monkey, her eyes falling on the tag that said "Snowdrop." With the tag wet, she could see something written underneath and she flips it to see neat, but smudged handwriting.
"To m- bel-v-d F--st, Love Da-d-."
Kuki, upon realizing that this was not just a collector's item, but a gift from father to daughter, bursts into tears once more. This also meant that there isn't just one, but two super special Rainbow Monkeys of this kind. If she could get a hold of the other one...
That idea is out the window upon landing outside of the toy shop as Sector V meets with Moosk who is trying to calm down a distraught Faust who was tearing through the shop looking for the doll. She had returned early because the man she went with had to come back unexpectedly for "business," according to the large Russian man. Seeing Faust so upset makes Kuki feel worse. This wasn't about a doll that was supposed to live its life behind glass, but one that was special only in the way a beloved toy given by a loved one was. That is something she understood more than anyone. It being behind glass for a week was only supposed to be temporary, it seems.
Kuki takes a deep breath and enters the toy shop alone, despite Wally trying to talk her out of it in fear of Faust hurting her, with the destroyed Rainbow Monkey in hand. The moment Faust's silver eyes fell on her, Kuki saw relief and dread fall over the woman's form. The girl immediately begins apologizing while offering the Rainbow Monkey to Faust and tries explaining the situation. She explains all of the fun the Rainbow Monkey had during the party but then forces herself to explain the damage.
Faust just stares as Kuki talks and after Kuki starts rambling about how the villains ran away upon seeing the Rainbow Monkey, moves toward her to take the ruined plush. Kuki flinches but relaxes when she hears Faust asking if she was okay and if the villains actually hurt her or her friends while she was away. The Rainbow Monkey is set aside as Faust looks Kuki over with soft, tired concern. Once told that she and the others were okay, Faust chides her for taking the plush after being told not to, but, as much as it disappointed her that Kuki ignored that rule, it seems like it was the better move that protected her and her teammates.
Kuki promises not to do anything like this again as Faust picks up the Rainbow Monkey and takes it to the back of the shop. She follows, asking if the plush can be fixed and Faust just smiles at her, saying "she knows a guy" who should be able to make it pristine once more. He was able to "use his magic" to keep it like that most of her life as long as there was at least a piece of it left. It wasn't the first time the plush had been destroyed, after all.
Kuki smiles at this news and wipes her eyes while promising to visit it once it is fixed before leaving, unaware that a black limo parked on the opposite side of the street was watching the store. A pair of yellow eyes narrowed as Sector V left and Father let out a growl, pissed that the villains messed up the perfect opportunity to strike down the sector over a stupid plush.
I'm over here vibrating. Roomie One ( @siro-cyll or Orion) drew an updated version of Faust in her white suit. I decided to go less "White Suit Deadpool" and more "Figure Skater", since the KND style is pretty simplistic.
I absolutely love how they detached the ice skate from the foot, indicating that they are created by ice magic. They could probably launch off and create deadly projectile weapons if she's really pissed off.
I'm also reworking her clothes to better match the adult styles in the show, but keeping the theme that she sticks out like a horseshoe crab in a freshwater environment. She's gotta look FRESH out of the NORTH, although she can walk out into sub-zero temps in nothing more than shorts and a tank top without issues.
The one thing I adore about this is that she may look elegant and serene in this form, but her attitude is in far contrast to it; childish, violent, and ready to ice someone in a moment's notice. This probably throws Father off so badly and might make him hate her more, considering she reminds him of himself. She is the Anti-Father, after all.
When Father and Neb switch places because of Negative Numbuh Four, Neb has to do his best Father impression to make people, who don't immediately cower at the sight of him, listen to him and keep from getting bodied by the other villains. It works for some of the villains, but others start picking up on it somehow, which is how Neb finds out about Faust. Nigel practically wields her absence as a weapon, telling them that she's on her way back and will trounce them the moment she finds out they messed with "Father" when he wasn't "feeling well."
This causes Neb to be absolutely TERRIFIED of Faust, wondering what she's going to do to him when she realizes he's not Father upon her return. Nigel tries to tell him she's not like that, but pauses when he remembers she hates other adults and doesn't know how she would really react to this. He flat out tells Neb that there was a real possibility that Faust might kill him before he's elbowed by Numbuh Five.
When Faust does return to the Delightful Mansion, Neb does his best to avoid her and not make eye contact, which makes her think he's still pissy that she didn't go with him to the spa. Neb immediately gives himself away when he thinks she's getting upset with him, apologizing profusely for something he had no idea of. Faust just stares at him and the next thing Neb knows he's pinned to the wall by several sharp icicles and with two ice blade katanas criss-crossed around his throat, held by Faust who started threatening him, asking who the hell he is and where Ben was. He RARELY apologizes right off the bat.
Neb word vomits the whole situation and bursts into tears, asking her not to kill him. This makes Faust pull away and the icicles disappear in a frosty white cloud. She agrees to help, mainly to get Ben back, but also because Neb makes her uncomfortable with how wishy-washy he is.
While all of this was going on, Negative Numbuh Four was gathering strength by telling the villains about how his world is and how they could replicate it in theirs. He was part of the reason some of the villains started to turn on "Father," believing they would eliminate Neb for him, the only ties left to the other world. He just wasn't aware that Father had a partner in this world that scared the bejeezus out of adults.
Neb's lack of a spine, especially around Negative Numbuh Four, does irritate Faust to the point that she starts to softly rage-bait him enough where he won't give into emotions immediately while Sector V and the Delightful Children fight the new threat. She uses his tender spots against him to light a fire under him and make him stand up for what he needs to do. "What if Ben reverses the progress made and makes the other side worse while you're gone?" "Ben is a nightmare for all children, are you willing to let him do that to your world?" "What about your kids?" "What kind of father can't protect his kids from dangerous people?" "Aren't you tired of being walked all over? Don't you just want to go Rainbow Monkey-droppings?"
It works.
Neb snaps and ends up finding that he does have abilities of his own, but rather than fire, it's the opposite. Water. This scares Negative Numbuh Four into surrendering, of course, only after he was caught in several whirlpools and being tossed around by an angry mini sea. Neb snatches Negative Numbuh Four by the ear and drags him back toward the spa with Sector V and Faust in tow. The Delightful Children stayed behind to put the other villains in their place and prepare for their father's arrival.
Now all that was left was removing Father from the Negative world.
