Kinda wild that one of the men who descended into the Mariana Trench to reach The Challenger Deep, the deepest point of the ocean, was named Jacques Piccard! Boldly going where no one has gone before!
I've read a lot about the Jacques Piccard, Don Walsh and the Trieste, but no matter how much I see or read or watch, it'll always be 'the window cracked' that makes me shit my pants.

In 1960 two engineers became the first people to ever dive 11km to the bottom of the Mariana Trench.
