Brian Jacques Birthday Fundraiser

DibbunsAgainstBedtime is raising money to help Royal School for the Blind

The day is finally here! In honor of Brian Jacques’s Birthday, today, June 15 we will be fundraising for the Royal School For The Blind in Liverpool, in his memory. 

The goal this year is 300 GBP, and I’m hoping we’ll be able to reach it! I wanted to find a way to give back to Mr. Jacques’s community as a way to honor his memory, as well as a thank you for all that he’s given to us.

I ask that everyone who is able to, please share, and donate if you can! The fundraiser ends one month from today, on July 15th.

For the next month, I will also be doing weekly events that we can all participate in, as part of the celebration.

One of my favorite extremely minor villains from Redwall, this unnamed ferret with the bronze spear from Rogue Crew.

He is just a crewbeast, and I really hope he got away, but I know he probably didn't.

My favorite minor villain in the Redwall series comes from Doomwyte- my personal favorite book in the series.

Now, I hate this character. I love to hate him. He’s a total abusive jerk.

But I love to hate him, and how he challenges a stereotype.

Log-a-Log Tugga Bruster. This guy. This guy is such a jerk- jerk isn’t a strong enough word- that it’s completely likely the reason his son Dubble didn’t want to become Log-a-Log is due to his relationship with Tugga. Tugga was emotionally- and physically- abusive not just to his son, but to other Guosim shrews as well.

He killed the leader of the Painted Ones as said leader was begging for mercy.

He tried to get the Gonffelins kicked out of Redwall Abbey by attacking Aluco and staging it so it looked like the Gonffelin Pikehead whose name I’ve forgotten stole the eyes of the Doomwyte Idol.

He was cowering when Baliss slithered past, but once he snapped out of it he started beating the other shrews who were doing the same.

Log-a-Log Tugga Bruster is different from every other Log-a-Log. I love to hate him.

A special mention to Blodd Apis for having a cool name. She was off her rocker, lived only on mead, but is she a villain? Not too sure.

For the LAST WEEK of our fundraiser, I’d like to encourage everyone to create and share their own Redwall Memes!!
