Kadoc sat on one of the benches, reading and eating some of the canned beans he found in his apartment. He knew he was probably gonna get some weird looks, but he didn’t have any way of getting food from any of the stores yet, so he made do. Soon, a shadow fell over his book and he looked up, noticing the person standing in front of him. “....Yes?”

Phoenix Wright is a brilliant man and an ace attorney. Unfortunately he wasn’t given the gift of common sense.

Trying to do good works well enough until you mess with the wrong enemy; or try to intervene in one too many monster attacks.

(I’m a lawyer, I never had to worry about endurance running!)

He ducks into the first building he finds, (some kind of library?) heaving a sigh of relief as he slams the door behind him. He locks eyes with the building’s only other occupant, who’s looking over some books at a table.

“Um, just so you know? There’s like a lot of monsters out there.”

Oh, this isn’t good.

Despite everything she’d been told, Kay went out after dark. She travels best at night, after all. Besides, she’s tough; what do these ‘mist reapers’ have on her anyway?

More than she thought, that’s for sure. She’s cornered, fighting with everything she’s got against an enemy who seems to be equally matched in every way.

Her ears perk up as she hears someone else on the path. They’re still pretty far away, but she can see the glint of glasses in the moonlight. Her darkvision only extends so far, and she’s seeing the world in shades of grey but... it can’t be him, can it?

“Hey!! You, with the glasses! I’m in a little trouble here... you wouldn’t want to help me out, would you?”
