FOR EMMA: JORI

"Why are you so lazy today? It's a beautiful... okay, it's a cold and rainy day but hey, Emma takes us to her friend's birthday!" Tori laughed brightly and cheerful and was expecting to see an equal on the face of her girlfriend knowing exactly what it would look like. Jade was never cheerful but she had her own ways of showing her happiness and their friends and greatest supporter for not only their love but also marriage deserved nothing less.

Emma had been with them from the start and pushed them whenever one of them was in doubt of the whole thing to work. She knew it was love when Jade was still with Beck and Tori spent her sleepless nights not knowing what she was missing.

"Jade" Tori didn't know why her wife – pride filled her thinking of what they are – had stopped. The backalley Jade stared at was nothing special and Tori thought it was rather filthy while she tried to drag Jade away. "Let's go. We are already late and Emma is waiting. We don't let Emma wait, she is one of our best friends"

"Emma is working..."

"How dare you?" Tori immediately stopped and shock was shown across her face. No one spoke badly of her friends without regretting it. With sigh she knew this was going to be an uneasy night with a fight to build up and lead to their bedroom with someone's wrist tied to the bedframe. The end of the day was not bad to think about but she didn't want to go through an argument with her love getting louder until her own ears felt like bleeding.

One last try. Soft and caring with charm in her voice to promise Jade the world but she wasn't listening. This place was more to her. It wasn't just filthy and dark. It wasn't a place no one goes to – not for Jade –  her steps got closer.

Tori did not dare to speak while she thought of better places ripped away from mind and soul when the unexpected was written over her wife's face. Tears. Jade's tears came down like herself. Her arms weak by her side Tori rushed to her to be the strength that left her wife. "Jade... you are safe. I'll keep you safe. I love you... I always will... and nothing takes you away... no one"

Her eyes saw and memorized the terror.

Tori sat down to hold her love and shut the backalley and all that happened here out like it never had been. Her heart was heavy with fear and lack of hope thinking of unworthy hands to take what never was for them to have. The only hands on Jade were her own for love, for safety and for all time.
