Okay so I got on tumblr today JUST TO SEE IF YOU CAN HELP. I've tried everything. I have a blind pimple I get them every once in a blue moon but this one is really painful and almost looks bruised. I tried a deep cleaning scrub and I tried a warm compress and I tried a green tea mask too. While its a little less inflamed it still hurts and I have no idea what I should be doing.
Oh man, those are the worst. Sometimes all you can do it wait and be gentle with it, but when it’s driving me crazy I usually do the epsom salt mixture with a a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar or rice vinegar, a few drops of tea tree oil, and a teaspoon or two of aloe vera gel, maybe a little fresh lemon juice if you can manage. Mix it up really well and gently scrub on the area. Sometimes I’ll just dab the goo from the mixture straight onto the pimple while I soak in the tub or something.
Here’s an oudated post that explains a few things and has a few other recommendations (I should update it, hmm). http://newvagabond.tumblr.com/post/54528331764/ive-gotten-a-few-asks-about-body-acne-and-ive
In a few weeks I should have a video out about two amazing products I’ve been using for acne recently. Best of luck!
Hi new! I just had a question! My friend was recently diagnosed with ulcers and shes having a really rough time. What kind of stuff did you eat and drink to help with your ulcers? She can't even take the medicine they gave her for it because shes so sick. :c
Oh noo, I’m sorry she isn’t feeling well.
I do smoothies and yogurt every day, multiple times a day if I can to try to let the ulcers heal up. The NutriBullet is probably one of the best things I’ve ever bought for smoothies. It’s small and easy to use and easy to clean up after. On really bad weeks, sometimes that’s all I’ll eat all day long. Maybe a few crackers here and there to help me swallow other meds/supplements.
I also drink lots of aloe drinks with the pulp, use aloe juice, and sometimes I’ll slice up some raw aloe to toss in the NB when the ulcers are reeeally bad.
For stuff to add to the smoothies I highly recommend Dr. Schulze’s formula Herbal Mucil Plus. It’s got marshmallow root, psyllium husk, aloe, slippery elm, basically a ton of stuff to coat and protect the GI lining and promote healing. It’s perfect in smoothies (you have to drink it a little fast since it turns into xenomorph mucus! xD)
Teas can be really helpful too, like chamomile. I like to blend it with catnip tea (helps tummy pains) and drink it hot all day long if I can.
I also keep peppermints (mints and/or minty perfumes honestly) and dissolving anti-nausea medication with me at all times in case I feel like I’m gonna get sick.
I hope your friend feels better, sorry I don’t have more info.
Okay I'm not sure and I have to ask someone's view of what happened to me. So we were having someone room with us. He was a guy and I didn't have much say. I am in a relationship I am very happy with and this guy knew that. Hes about 5 years older than me and I DIDN'T find him attractive he left yesterday but not after pressing against me and making me uncomfortable. Should I really have to tell him not to touch someone he doesn't know? Shouldn't he have asked to touch me PERIOD? He never asked.
I've had this experience many, many times. In middleschool, highschool, at parties, even on set, I've had male actors grab me, touch me, "accidentally" rub against me as we walked up the stairs.
He shouldn't be touching you, no matter what distorted view of your interactions he may have.
I just had a quick skincare question. I have pretty clear skin as a given but every once in a while I get those painful almost bruise-like blemishes. I'm also on a pretty tight budget. What would you recommend as a remedy for these types of skin problems?
Ohh, man, painful blemishes suck.
If you're on a budget, honestly, honey is one of my favorite things to use on my skin. Try to get it raw if you can (especially Manuka honey, that's the beeestttt stuff!), but if you can't, normal honey can be helpful too. It's gonna snuff out bacteria to prevent further infection and also brings inflammation wayyyy down. When I'm having a tough break out, I usually put raw honey all over my face as a mask for a few minutes, sometimes 10-15. Another thing I do a LOT is if I have a troublesome blemish, I put honey on it and then stick a little bandaid over it and then i can go about my day while the honey does its stuff. That's even better to do at bedtime because your body heals more while you sleep.
