I will say, though, that I really like the idea of Jade Faced Princess being steeped in political intrigue. She wants a protector for a husband/lover because of how many enemies her money and influence in demon society has made her, and the idea of her husband also having connections to other powerful beings is not such a bad thing.

DBK’s ego and pride is wounded enough that the bull demon pursues Jade Face Princess again just to prove that he’s still powerful enough to steal her back from Nezha.

More drama for Prince Nezha and Jade Face Princess they’re both using each other for their own benefits and knows the reasons why with no strings attached.

Nezha gets to finally move out of his father’s household, the demons employed at his wife’s palace calls him the third Lotus Demon King, and help rules Cloud-Touching Cave of the Hoard-Thunder Mountain. Jade Face is using him to make DBK jealous and knows that DBK will be pissed off enough to forget PIF to chase her again and she gets to attend the peach festival that’s hosted in the celestial realm.

Until Nezha and Jade actually catch feelings for each other and it became more complicated cause they both wanted no strings attached and now they’re strings attached. Yue Lao the Chinese god of love and marriage watching this unfold knowing that they’re going to get through this hiccup and come out together stronger in their marriage.

Love Potion au

I think it would be funny if Nezha and Jade Face Princess raised Red Son after DBK was sealed under the mountain, and Pif who doesn’t know that nephew is married, gives Nezha Red Son to raise as she’s trying to find solutions to free her husband.

Personally, I don’t see PIF willingly giving up her son to anyone after DBK was sealed away. On the contrary, I think she’d be fighting tooth and nail to make sure what was left of her family stayed under her control, especially since Red Son is such an asset when it comes to working towards freeing her entombed husband.

This could work if this went by the canon storyline of Red Boy being taken in by Guanyin rather than what LMK did with the Samadhi Fire.. in that instance, I could see Guanyin passing off Red Son to be raised by Nezha after he’d learned to behave himself well enough.

I just had an idea! What about an au where Jade Faced Princess wanting to make DBK jealous so she uses a love potion on Nezha, but actually starts to fall with him 💚💖

I like the idea! Although if Jade Faced Princess had access to a love potion, she’s probably going to try to use it on DBK first. If that fails, then yeah I could see her trying to get Nezha with it instead as a slight to DBK.
