Man, you guys aren’t holding back are you?  Not that this choice is nearly as difficult as you think it would be.

I guess it’s time I admit this on main, but there’s been a massive shake up of the Best Boy rankings to accommodate twelve new sons, and my new best boy’s symbol is the flat sign, his number’s 3, and his color’s orange. A lot of this is actually due to his character arc in Story 2 and Story 3, but since S2 of the anime’s coming, I’m just going to leave it at that and point everyone in the direction of the tissue box once his arc starts.

Yes, you’re all reading that right. Mitsuki started off by just being my best i7 boy, taking that crown and never actually handing it off to any of the other boys that should have been my Type (I bet you guys were expecting Sougo, Tenn, or Yuki to be my i7 Best Boy) and then with character development just kept climbing up through the ranks to the point where I redid my side blog and Twitter to match him, lol.

Sorry Mikleo, but you’ve been outdone by another top tier sweets maker, rofl. I still love you though!

I notice that it’s a thing that seems to have faded out of popularity with the Western fandom, but I remember it from my younger days lol when it was all really important whose name came in front and all. I guess it just doesn’t get used much anymore?

I slowly stopped paying attention to it but now I realise why lol . Yeah when I was young I even sorted out which fanfic to read depending of the order (but only for my favourite pairing :p)

I’m so glad other people remember this being a thing too haha! I can come up with a few reasons for why it faded out of popularity, since in most cases it DOES refer to who tops in the relationship (not just in regards to sex, but who’s the more dominant person in general..), which has also kind of faded out as a concept, especially in western fandoms :p (though I’ve noticed a lot of pixiv artists also tag their works with both ‘xy’ and ‘yx’ for ships, and have no clear preference). 

But I do still pay attention to it every once in a while, even when I have no preference myself. A lot of fans (again, mostly western fans afaik) might be appalled at BL fans who have strong preferences (since again, name order does often refer to tops and bottoms...), but I can kind of see the charm. I think it’s particularly notable with artists that vastly prefer, say, xy when it comes to a specific ship, versus people that prefer yx. Their way of handling the exact same ship can be so different just because of that, even when it’s not about sexual content necessarily^^ I guess it’s just about seeing the same ship differently...?

Go for it!!! Someone may be able to submit missing pieces as well!!

Here is what I shall do, since everyone agrees some is better than none!  The Tales of Link wikia has transcripts of events!! I will include all the images I have, and for any images I am missing, I will put in the dialogue from the missing segment, which can later be replaced with an image if one becomes available!!

I am missing a few images for it, but I still have 233 images!  That is definitely enough to make it worthwhile!

Yeah, uhhh, when I start redoing blog themes and such, that’s when you know I have a new Ultimate Best Boy. The thing with Mitsuki is his writing and development is just so good as I kept going through the main story and every time I told myself “I couldn’t possibly love this tiny ball of idol sunshine any more”, I found myself doing just that.

And I usually don’t just, like, adopt an entire cast like that but with i7 . . . it’s like, you have your Top 3, and you have your Bottom 3, and then everyone else is in this massive Blur Zone inbetween, but you love every single last one of them, even if they’re in your Bottom 3 and you’ll still cry for them because the writing really is just that good.

So in other words, go watch i7. If for no other reason than, 1) the Tales of Link collab costume swaps are accurate for each character in some way, 2) Yonaga Tsubasa (Jude in Xillia, Mitsuki in i7), Hoshi Souichirou (Keele in Eternia, Momo in i7 - this is a little more relevant for S2 since Re:vale only makes a cameo appearance in S1), Satou Satomi (Magilou in Berseria, Tsumugi in i7), Satou Takuya (Benwick in Berseria, Ryuu in i7) and Konishi Katsuyuki (Lloyd in Symphonia, Yaotome Sousuke in i7) are all in it, and 3) the writing for this game is amazingly good - I daresay on par with a Tales game level of good - and I’m pretty sure I’ve laughed/cried with this series more than I did for Zestiria and I think we all know how much laughing and crying I did with Zestiria.
