Her Father's Footsteps [TEASER]

"Their blank faces said it all; not one of them would ever truly except my rightful claim as a Dark Council Member until I had done what was expected of me. Though I cannot place any blame upon them, as they were skillfully deceived by the pathetic excuse that was my Master. Now, she will pay, and they will see me for what I am; my father's daughter and a Sith in my own right."

Her lightsaber hummed with a low and steady buzz as she took a stride to the side, never taking her eyes off her former Master. Under any other circumstances, she would have reveled in the prospect of killing her own Master, but it had gone much too far, and become far too personal. Though she would savor every moment of her Master's last breath, she found herself consumed with the pure hatred that had replaced all other feelings between the two. She scoffed, frowning and gritting her teeth as she waited for the right moment. How fitting it was to end her life there, before the eyes of the Dark Council, disgraced and ridiculed for all of eternity... She would make Darth Veskasa Kahn vanish from all records, undo her existence... Remove her from Jaerah's personal history...

It had all started on a particularly hot day on Korriban. The sand was scorching under her boots as she walked across it toward the shuttle that would take her to the Imperial Fleet. She smiled, grinned even, as she turned back to glance at the glory that was the Sith Academy. Though, in appearance, it was nothing more than a planet full of red dust and withered tombs, she gazed at the academy with a sense of pride, her journey toward greatness finally having started. She would walk in the footsteps of her father, Darth K'zrion Crowley, and see first hand the tales she had been told as a child.

She had been approved as the rightful apprentice to Darth Veskasa Kahn, a Dark Council member who had close ties to their family, and Jaerah knew well that her journey had been tailored by her father and her Master together, sending her on a pilgrimage to fully understand the path her father took to become the Wrath of the Emperor. Naturally, she assumed her Master would have her own tasks and trials for each planet she would visit, but, to Jaerah, it was the pilgrimage that mattered the most. All of her life had lead to that moment, and all the pain she had endured to become who she was, would finally be worth it.
