Acad life update
The days are just melting together. Exams every week and so many reports. Can't wait for winter break starting next weekend. I might not go skiing during the winter break but I definitely will chill. Side note: im reverting to puns. People are way too crass here and i think they need a little wit to shake things up.
Can't sleep and in desperate need of a soak in a bath. Shouldn't have gone online shopping in sephora at past my self-imposed bed time. Having lowkey anxiety because it's a bit messy in my room and i cant clean because of my headache. I also need to do laundry. I only have ripped jeans left and it's not the best for the weather outside. I also need to buy fruits and juice. I also really need to finish my application for rent subsidy. Restless and i cant tune out my responsibilities for just a while so i can fall alseep. J'ai besoin compter les moutons...
young adult truth
i just set off my smoke alarm making a microwave carrot mug cake. i spent about an hour grating carrots because i bought a .99 cent bag from the grocery store earlier. it was a lot of carrots but it was cheap. i just searched some carrot recipes. this smoke alarm was also beeping since last week because of low battery. i didn’t even know it could still work. i opened my window and turned on my fan to work as an exhaust fan. i then heard doors opening along the hallway while i was scrambling to get my desk chair under the smoke alarm so i could stand on it and remove the smoke detector and remove the batteries. i used the knife which i chopped almonds with to remove the batteries. the small pieces of almond on the knife went all over the floor but, thankfully, not on the smoke detector. i didn’t realize the recipe would make so much mug cakes. i made 3 more mug cakes. right after i removed the burnt carrot cake and soaked the mug in hot soapy water to ease washing. i also binged watch the first season of Brooklyn 99. i kept asking myself if this experience was really happening while i was washing all of the utensils and stuff i used to make this carrot mug cake. i already ate one because i think i deserved one for dessert and for all of the trouble i caused. i think i need to mop the floor now.
The smoke detector in my room has low battery and is emitting high pitch beeps with long intervals in between. Management said it was changed already. With another almost discharged battery? It seems petty now but im tired and cant sleep because of the 3 octave higher than middle C with a decibel level of probably 60 beeps.
